Samsung NC10

Ye had it ordered two weeks ago.

Was shipped yesterday but no sign today. I assume that is because I have standard CityLink Next day as appose to City Link Next Day Saturday?
 
has anyone tried using bluetooth headphones with this laptop? was considering gettting a pair to keep it wireless...with bluetooth built in i assume it supports them?

surely we should get next day even if it is saturday as its not our fault when delivery was!!!
i paid for next day assuming they came in on time.

still waiting tho:(

But in the asian market if its not shiney, its thought of as cheap.

At least according to a review I read of the HTC touch diamond and its 02 equivelent.

Im typing this from my black NC10, and rould much rather it be matt like a lenovo thinkpad...but shiney or matt, its still a cracking bit of kit.
 
URGENT!!!

Gonna hava a go at puttin a 7200 rpm hard disk in either tonight or tomorrow.

Anyone got a link to instructions on how to remove the bck cover?

My NC10 has a Toshiba drive, If You want to get rid of Your Old one give me a Shout ;)

Just done the swap.

The drive that came out was an Hitachi, model:HTS543216L9A300. 5400RPM,sata-3gB/S.

The drive that went in was one of these...

So far...Im not really seeing an improvement... If anyone has a free program to benchmark a hard disk let me know and then we can compare this to a standard.


It seems louder, also, Heat and vibration can be felt through the palm rest, even in silent mode. I dont recall that with the original.

I think it will be back to the standard one in a few days.
 
Seems strange how they use different manufacturers for their HDD's.

Replaced my original which was a Fujitsu drive with a 7200 Scorpio. Not noticed any difference in performance either however i'll keep the Scorpio in there as i'm not too keen on Fujitsu hdd's. ><
 
Quick question for anyone thats read the manual...

Can you turn bluetooth off? I know the Fn+F9 key turns the wi-fi off, but cant see anything for bluetoof...

Typical, They source from Multiple suppliers, My Toshiba drive is beautiful dead quiet and quick :) well You have to expect that drive to be hotter and noisier @ 320gb it must be twin platter/heads what the hell do You need that much storage in a netbook for ?

Try HD Tune it's free and report back

Also CPUZ hardware monitor will report all the temps including HD

Wow Me neither, Samsung really showing their true colours ! How's Your panel quality ? bit washed out with weak colour ?...expect the multi source them as well !

Panel quality is noticeably worse than my X22. I'd imagine the multi-sourcing of components was due to the high demand for these things as there was no long term eta before they hit distribution. Still happy with the notebook nonetheless as it suits it's purpose. :cool:
 
Well, after much deliberation I've ordered a black one which I should hopefully get sometime this week :cool: I've seen far too many people at uni with Acer Aspire One's in white so decided on black for a change :) Will get some photos and thoughts posted once it arrives... Thanks again to everyone for their photos/thoughts helping to sway decisions :)
