Dell S2409W 24" Widescreen True HD LCD Monitor - Black

What's the eta on your delivery date mate?

M.

Ordered one of these too on Wednesday and says ETA 31/12/2008 but as of yesterday it was being packed so I'm guessing it'll be delivered by Monday/Tuesday. Dell most likely have the ETA of 31/12/2008 so not to get peoples hopes up for Christmas but I wouldn't worry I'm sure it'll arrive in a few days.

Support page + reference number.

Just got a call from their automated delivery arranger thingy, going to be delivered on Tuesday which isn't bad.

I'm guessing you ordered yours from Dell (hence why i can't find the bit on the support page).

They are £40 more than OcUK and only supply a 3 year warranty whereas OcUK supply a 4 year warranty and are cheaper.

I believe that Dells have gone up in the last 24 hours when I purchased mine it was £194 inc VAT and delivery.

I currently own a dell 2407WFP-HC, is it worth it upgrading it to S2409w.
the current setup is like this. PS3 + PC using hdmi switch hub to a dvi port and 360 to a vga port.

i do like the hdml port for my ps3, vga for 360 and dvi for pc.

If you're happy with the 2407WFP then i would stick with it. The only advantage the 2409 would have is in response time and input lag.

Well, only just came across this thread 10 minutes ago but I've already placed my order for one. Can't really complain for £185, looks to be a bargain of a screen.

My Dad has just ordered one for me for Xmas,

I currently have a Dell 2407WFP but might sell that and buy another one of these monitors if its upto scratch quality wise.

So I can use one for my computer and one for my 360.

Just treated myself to one myself as an upgrade to my ageing 1905FP. Can't wait to go widescreen at last! Estimated delivery is 6th Jan, but I'm hoping they'll be quicker than that.

Just a quick question: as I've never owned a monitor before with such a "high" resolution, can it be powered by one DVI cable or does it require two? I always assumed dual DVI was only for the realms of the 30" Apple displays but just wanted to check in case I was wrong.

The display is from either one VGA, one DVI or one HDMI cable.

Sigh - ordered on the 3rd and still in the production phase.. :(

Hope they bloody hurry up!
