I just bought a 50 1.8 today, the last in stock! Crikey, having to work with a prime lens really makes you think about composition! It's going to take some practice that's for sure. I love the fact that you can really open it up indoors and still get a decent shutter speed. First three shots, straight from the camera:

I actually bought the 50 1.4 version to an upgrade to my 50 1.8 but sold it on a few weeks later because it didn't perform aswell. This thing is silly sharp at 1.8.
