I played it again just to make sure I was not missing something. Its horrid apart from the fact that it looks pretty.
 
got the demo, played it, IT HARD! mainly due to the horrible control system! and this game dosn't alt-tab!!! it wouldn't let me exit game properly tryed all the usual esc, alt-tab, ctrl-alt-del, MASH KEYBOARD, so i had to hit the old fail-safe, the reset switch on case :)

i prefer the controls on GTA:SA for flying, WASD+Arrows i forget exactly how it was layed out but it was really easy for me

Play it with a controller instead, I would never play this game with a keyboard tbh
 
Well...after playing the demo I'm glad I didn't pre order this as I was going to. Think I'll just wait for Heroes Over Europe for my arcade style flight sim.

To whoever said this looks better than FSX must be having a laugh.
 
Is it my system doing something odd or does the view only stay behind the aircraft while in assist mode, turned off I get a side view which is just pants.

Can't say I think much of the gfx either to be honest.

I was thinking it was just me as well with the views. I don't know what they were thinking when they came up with that one. Can't seem to get Trackir working in it either. The graphics at points, especially the cockpit, are laughable and scream console game and I won't even go into the flight dynamics...even for an arcade style sim.
 
I heard the graphics were supposed to not be as good as Ace Combat 6, but people here are saying its really good looking, i'm quite interested now, will get the demo.

Yeah its fantastic that Ace Combat6 used the same terrain over a year ago on the X360:rolleyes:
Its also fantastic that this game plays worse than that and is just a carbon copy even down to the mission structure but without the humourous cutscenes:rolleyes:
FSX looks much better and even the Flight Unlimited games from the mid 1990's are still lookers nowadays compared to this physics free arcade drivel for 10 year olds:o
 
Anyone tell me how to enable direct X 10 mode when you download this game/demo through STEAM ??

People are saying you get 2.exe's ones for dirext x 10 this doesnt seem to be the case with steam i only see one EXE in my steam shortcut folder.
 
Just played the demo and im impressed with the graphics and the combat...not very realistic i would imagine but ok in an arcade kind of way...runs on windows 7,Q6600 and 4870x2 with graphics settings maxed out in DX10.
 
Really looking forward to this game, i made a quick order this morning for it, however this was not looking at the date, only found out that the PC version is the 20th :(
