Fortunatley the sides of my case are opaque and, because of my lack of cable tidying finess, will always remain so.

I'd be interested in seeing your case though and details of some of the methods you used.

And i'm deff getting a modular psu next time - they were designed for ppl like me.
 
Open up your hardware monitoring software over the top in a smaller window?

or just list the average temps along with your pic. I think we've got a pretty good insight into your cpu operating temps anyway - runs cool.

Time to install some games and find out what your machine is really capable of!
 
Remember the days when Q3 was all you needed to benchmark and grade your system? Blink and you would probably miss the fps test on current systems.

i guess this will show what my system performance will run like with complex games?

i guess the score will improve had i not been downloading 3 gb of operating system?
 
Well, your rig looks promising. No lock ups and your temps and scores seem fine.

If after a few weeks of gaming and apps abuse your still not experiencing any problems - you will know that the rig is truely stable. From preliminary testing it looks fine.

Edit: Yes it scores your system - you can compare your score to other rigs so you get an idea what yours is capable of. The d/l shouldn't make that much difference.

i want it to run the latest games with no issues so thats good so far - i guess fm09 will show me a lot when that arrives in the next couple of days.

You'll have zero issues for a long time regarding gameplay. They say that Crysis is the last attempt, for a while, for a game company to really stretch a pc. So until a new engine comes out we're all safe...

FM9 wont even make your system blink - it will just process the info faster. And i say again - walk away from it - it eats time that game. You intend to just have a quick search for a new player and 5 days later you're still at it...

Can't help with your massenger issue - i don't use it.

Did you happen to get a new router with this set up? What is your error message? Key ports?

i buy it every year and sell it on "£$"$"£bay as i realise my missus will walk before i win the champions league with benenhausen united...
but then the adverts come out for the new years one and im like a child again!!!!especially as this match engine wouldnt work on the demo i have on the crappy laptop....
....which reminds me...demo...i still have it!

Well next years release may be very depressing for me as i'm a life long Saints supporter for my sins - and if they do disappear i'm going to have to search out a team i have no affinity with.

Having said that if they survive - i'll have the tougher challange of getting them to win the premiership from league 1 - really tough as i presume i would be starting with a minus 10 points deficit too :/

It's an addiction that game, it needs to come with an 'absorbs-time' warning.
