Little further update

been talking to a few guys via dating direct -two have asked me on dates which i'm thinking about lol

im still being stalked by the weird one who i recently realised looks a little like a thin version of John Sergent!!

as for the guy i met in the pub.... we've been texting every now and then over the weekend and we are meeting on Thursday - Going to the cinema!! i am so nervous just texting about it lol. I haven't been on a date for nearly a year. It seems silly to get nervous because we've already met in the pub but still...eeek!!!!!

Ok, I need some advice (well more like a kick in the arse I guess)...

So I messaged a chick on Sunday night who's just amazingly perfect - at least on paper anyway! I took ages to come up with a witty and charming bit of well-composed prose (in my opinion

) so I kinda semi-expected a reply, or at least a view of my profile. Well, she's definitely logged in since I messaged, and I've got nada

the many many times I've been ignored before, I'd just feel a bit "lol whatever" and move on to the next victim. But this felt like a punch in the stomach for some reason :confused:

I almost feel like sending her another message? Something I've never ever done before after being KB'ed. Can someone please tell me to stop being a soppy **** and move on

Well I have been having some nice chats with a girl from OkCupid. She is 18 (bit young, but meh), from Derby (too far, but meh), she types like a chav (no potential really, but meh), but she seems nice, looks alright and seems interested in me, so I am just going with the flow right now

This thread is totally hilarious. I might even join up myself for a laugh. Anyone who uses text speak in their emails or incorrect grammar gets an instant delete. Do you think there's anyone out there who would pass the test and get a date?

What does it say about me as a person if I demand grammatically correct emails?

That you are completely right for doing so. I would be exactly the same, I hate text speak and bad grammar, and it would put me off right away

Well bad spelling and grammar that is natural and unintentional is one thing (some people just naturally suck)... but writing purposefully in feckwit should always get an instant delete.

I signed up a week of so back after reading this thread, have messaged a few people that seem OK and never got a message back.. I do however seem to be the sort of guy that attracts the larger lady. :confused:

Why not just put a polite message on your profile saying that you prefer the athletic/slim type?
