I believe i can deliver for you nicely. Its nothing recent, this is from 6 months ago. I hit POF ages ago last year and finally got a message from a very attractive girl around last October. We chatted briefly here and there at first and i said just enough to her to keep her interested. Turned out we had loads in common, more so than i do with most my friends. She was a gamer, loved metal and was mad into movies just like myself. Also a musician and a singer which scored major points.
I asked if she wanted to off into town on a night out but she declined and said she wasnt too much into going out into clubs (neither am i but i didnt mention it yet) and she suggested coming to mine to watch a film/play xbox. Well i thought i was rolling round in pure win. Id met someone completely awesome. More awesome than anyone.
We met, i picked her up and brought her to my place where we spoke for hours. Didnt even get round to any films or games, just talking, getting to know each other. It was a great night. We then met again, this time we hit the 360 and had some beers together and i played her some Metallica tunes on guitar. She seemed totally impressed and things progressed. I thought id hit gold to find not only a stunner but she was into all my hobbies too.
Roll forward a few weeks, she went on holiday to Turkey for a week, while she was there i took the time to get her a christmas pressie as xmas was only a couple of weeks away. When she came back i heard nothing. I text her a few times to which i got nothing. Most odd. I eventually got a reply saying she couldnt meet up because she had a throat infection and didnt feel too good. No probs i thought, i'll leave it a couple of days. So i did and text and called her in the mean time, all of which were ignored. Days later she eventually answered....but this time she had the flu (lies) and i couldnt see her as she was going to Ireland for christmas the next day to see her family.
Christmas and new year rolled round, i sent messages wishing her well but heard absolutely nothing. Once she got back home i got the almighty text saying she couldnt give me what i wanted and pretty much kicked me to the curb. The gift i bought her still sits in a drawer at home. What a waste of time and effort. Shame, she was really awesome too. Gutted!
