Absolutely. Its that all too often used word in football. Potential. All too frequently we see the non-existent rather than the fulfilled end result.

Big player, still a little unfulfilled potential if you ask me but he's quality.

He won't be cheap, there's no way he'd be under £40m. If he is I don't see why the big four aren't chasing him put it that way.

£40m for unfulfilled potential? Not likely. As has already been mentioned, Liverpool are after him for £15-20m.

Bar those few select clubs that are bank rolled via one way or another, it's mostly been bust for 95% of clubs.

Apparently Arsenal have signed a defender! But it's textbook Arsene to hear nothing and then see somebody get signed out of the blue, it's the only way to do it if you have no money I suppose, if people are talking about it in the press all the time the price just rises.

at least with Newcastle being in the championship now we won't get any of these ridiculous rumours...

Its okay for us United fans, its going to another particularly underwhelming summer for us transfer wise I should say.
I doubt he will address the midfield, or sign a decent striker to play along side Rooney, or the center half we need, or the goal keeper we need, or cover for left back.

offload ronny to RM in exchange for Sergio Ramos and Cassilas, then buy a front man to work with rooney with the rest of the money.

I don't think Man Utd are in much of a position to complain about their squad atm!

No we're not but you know we're obviously missing something that fact that we only managed to win the Premiership, the Carling Cup & the Club World Cup. If we didn't have dead wood like Scholes & Giggs and useless players like Nani and Anderson we'd have won the FA Cup Semi Final and won the Champions League final
