**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet but talkSport have been running with the story that Tevez has signed for City all day now

I've seen nothing on this anywhere else, I suspect its a bit of scaremongering to push a deal through elsewhere.

Been watching skysports news most of the day and they havent mentioned anything to say that Tevez is off to Man City.

They really need to cap the transfer fee I think. It's getting a bit silly now.

Worth noting that Madrid actually paid more for Zidane (so it's not a world record fee), it just looks more to us because of Sterling's depreciation in recent years.

I think I'm right in saying that ZZ went for €75m and Kaka's fee is nearer €67m :)

Don't know much about him but it seems we might have a chance of signing Pato, if CA wants him:

With the Kaka transfer saga finally over, Milan fans are now afraid that the club will also cash in on his compatriot Alexandre Pato, who is allegedly being tempted to Chelsea by new Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti.

“It’s an honour for me to be appreciated by a club like Chelsea,” Pato told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“However, I will first talk to Ancelotti, then I will meet with Milan officials. My future will be clearer at the end of June.”

Diavoli supremo Silvio Berlusconi has insisted that after selling Kaka to Real Madrid for a reported €65 million, he will do everything in his power to keep hold of Pato.

“I hope Kaka will be happy in Madrid, but I can’t wish him to win the Champions League. I want to win that!” grinned ‘the Duck’.

“We will lose so much from his departure, but Milan are not just Kaka. We have a great group and we have a phenomenon in the form of Ronaldinho.

“Is [owner Silvio] Berlusconi saying I will stay put? As I said, nothing has been decided yet. I want to speak with Ancelotti. He is an amazing man. He helped me emerge at Milan and in Italian football. Before deciding my future I want to talk to him.”

I thought Zidane's price was 47 million? Whereas Kaka has gone for an estimated 59 million.

Both transfers are actually in Euros. Its only because the pound has dropped has against the euro that the kaka deal looks bigger. Real actually paid more for ZZ than thye are going to pay for Kaka

I thought it was £44m, but as said the actual pound amount doesn't matter, it is Euros they paid in and euros they're paying in now :)
