*** The iPhone 3G S Thread - All iPhone 3G S Related Stuff In Here ***

Well the battery first last that long on web surfing, finf my self charging it every day easy! I've got the 32gb with some music on and some comedy episodes of the it crowd! Getting use to using the keyboard with my thumb only lol but still waiting for them to jailbreak it though! Annoying that I can't use BBC iplayer on my 3g connection. Also another thing I've noticed and winding me up. It doesn't switch between 2g and 3g when in calls and if it does the call gets cut off where as my Nokia would do that no prob. Is this an iPhone prob and way an iPhone update in the future may sort this?

Bought and activated at 8:30 on the 1st day instantly.

Seems I might have been lucky!

My 16Gb 3GS still working perfectly.

I compared it to a mates 3G and it kicked its ass. It couldn't even pick up a GPS signal but by the time it had even got to giving a general location mine was locked and perfectly spot on.

<3 3GS!
 
Bugger it if they are in stock @ CPW today I'm going to treat myself :D

That or pop to the Apple store in Milton Keynes.............

Well I'm up and at 'em will be calling Milton K's Apple store bang on 9am and if they are in stock me and the kids are going for a spin....! :)

EDIT: Milton K's have them in stock......!! I'm off over there..........

Just use the link to go online and deauthorise all pcs, and then reauthorise your current one.

So far Ive ordered:

Case - Switcheasy CapsuleNeo (looking for something permanent and robust and happy to leave it on if its not adding too much to the form factor - I prefer this over the Rebel cases as looks more professional).

Screen Protector - Power Support Anti-Glare (not interested in covering the back as thats already sorted so decided to get this looking at recommendations on net - can only find it on Apple Store in the UK though. Probably not the most scratch resistant but I really want good clarity, especially in sunlight. The alternative was Martin Fields but heard bad things about QA - also a bonus is that I can get the Apple guys to apply it for me in store :D)

Dock - Apple plug/charge cable (decided that I didnt need a dock and cba with the hassle to get the Universal one just because Ive got a case. Though £21 for a plug and charge cable seems a lot :p. What does the dock do that a plug + cable cant?

Car - Looking to get the Tomtom app and cradle (I presume that will have a charging facility?) as Ive had Tomtom on previous WM phones and found it useful...

Headset Adaptor - need one to allow my existing decent headphones to becoming handsfree. Want it to have the same functionality as the new headset that comes with the iPhone 3Gs.

So whats a good headset adaptor and do I need a car charger?

But confused why my thread was merged especially as it was made clear after an accessories question that this thread is only for 3Gs talk so I cba to track dwn the original replies. Anyway Im off to the MK Apple store to get my screen protector applied and look at headphone adapters.

Only 2 Ive found are the Griffin Smart Talk and Shure MPA something. The Griffin is meant to be crap quality looking at the Apple store while Im unsure about the Shure...

Also do Apple cable come in lengths useful to plug into a wall socket near the floor to reach a desk?

Any comments?

My 32GB black 3GS was activated immediately as I plugged it into iTunes at around 5:30pm(Went to get it after school). Suprisingly it was still in stock, though only about 8 left.

You can just buy a USB extension lead. You might even have one already - it plugs in-between the two cables. :)
