Woohoo just got my 16gb 3Gs home...........

Not had a real play with it as yet, but its nice and nippy compared to my mates 3G....

Love it!!! :D

Nice juggling vid :)

Will do one tomorrow (not juggling mind!!) once I've had it charge all night..

Did they say to you to let it run down fully and charge overnight and same again for best battery usage?

Also turn it off fully once every month?

They didn't say anything to me about the battery. I just used it out of the box and with the little charge the computer gave it whilst I activated it. I'm going out tonight so I'll give it some juice before then.

Probably not the best way of doing things but hey ho :)

Lol I'm out with the wife at a friends party, I won't take it as I'll be in the corner all night geekin it up... She'll cop the hump I'm sure....Idea charge time in that case...

Tried maps on the way home from the Apple store....very pleased with the speed of pickup and general look....

Screen is sooooooo crisp and clear can't wait to try and movie or 2 on it...

I think I might not bother with a case and just get it insured in case.

I've had a 2G for about a year now, no case just one of those screen protectors and it looks like new pretty much. Just make sure the screen is clean and dust free when you put it on, and dont keep stuff like keys in the same pocket and you should be ok. Its also survived a few small drops onto carpet as well :p

I never had keys in the same pocket as my 3g and the back was quite scratched up still. I guess from putting it down on hard surfaces.

I'd also dropped it onto concrete by mistake and the metal front surround was slightly chipped. Insurance is good but marks aren't insured.

From my experience I would put a case on a new iPhone.

I have a case on my new iPhone 3gs.I didn't like the case when I first put it on but now I prefer it with :)

Can you link us to your case and where you got it please?

I'd like to look at as much as I can before I decide... thanks!

I'm not having much luck with mine..

One phone still hasn't activated.. after 60 Hours.. thats going back to the shop 2day.
The other phone.. when I launch ANY custom installed apps, ie from the app store, they just launch then close straight away.

Its been a horrible introduction to a 2 year layout for me so far.

Hi guys, my 3g was stolen the other day and will be making an insurance claim as soon as o2 are open tomorrow, just wandering do they still have stocks of 3g or is there a chance I could receive a shiny new 3gs?

They may not have activated the phone when you bought the phone, so there is a chance there is nothing wrong with the phone just your o2 sim was not activated.

The issue to do with iphone apps crashing is related to DRM I think have a read of this first post and see if it helps...

Probably like for like as they will have old stock for sure.

Is there no way to pick a custom text message alert like you can with ringtones?

Nope sadly
