The last 5 mins of season 2 episode 9 of True Blood. That's all I'll say.
 
The very end of AI, where he's putting his mum to bed.

Band of Brothers, Everything is epic, but stand out, would be Shifty Powers run through the German lines and then back :D
 
The ending of the Thomas Crown Affair (remake).

The Wire moment previously mentioned (I'd be massively vexed if I'd seen that before I watched the whole series), plus the ending of the final season, which perfectly summed up the series.

Venture Bros season 2 finale when you find out who the leader of the Guild of Calamitous intent is.

The Golden Condor taking flight for the first time in Mysterious Cities of gold.

Hot Rod opening the matrix in Transformers the movie.

Van Damme kicking Chong Li's ass at the end of Bloodsport.

Leeroy getting 'the glow' in The Last Dragon.

Jet Li and co fending off the arrows from the calligraphy school in Hero.

The light in the hatch switching on in the first season of Lost.

Elias's death scene in Platoon.

I'm sure there's a million more, but I really need to get on with work!
 
Jurassic Park - When they have just arrived at the park and are driving through the plains and Dr Sattler is fascinated by the million year old plant leaf. Dr Grants face drops and he stands up in the car while Sattler keeps talking. He puts his hand on her head and turns it. We then see our 'first' dinosaur. Epic.

Terrible quality video

The Life Aquatic - The bit at the end where he see's the Jaguar Shark again. Gives me goosebumps every time

Brings a tear to my eye every time

Star Trek (2009) - A few bits in this. Especially the bit at the end when Nero is chasing Spock and they are on a collision course then BAM! out of nowhere the Enterprise appears all guns blazing.
 
When Leland Palmer is revealed to be Laura's killer in Twin Peaks. That scene is brilliant, with the water raining down from the ceiling and Leland crossing over and Dale guiding him. Also the whole of the red-room (black lodge) scene right at the end of the last episode. Must've taken ages to film that, what with the actors having to speak backwards then have their voices reversed back around the right way! Then to top it all off Dale looking in the mirror to reveal he is now possesed by Bob! Angers me greatly that it was just cancelled like that :(

Also Lost season 2 opening. Seeing the everyday routine of a seemingly normal guy then BOOM! He runs around getting ready for action, weapons equipped looking through the security mirrors and we zoom in to see John and Jack looking down into the hatch!

yes a very good moment i have to agree but the parts before when they are in the woods with trees exploding from artillery fire is very amazing :eek:
Then as the firing dies down and an unexploded shell lands next to the 2 guys(forget the names) foxhole one of the guys says i thought you didnt smoke and the sargeant says i dont whilst dragging on the ciggarette heavily

I also love the bit in episode 2 when they are attacking the 4 guns at breacourt manor when winters is running through the trenches whilst running firing ducking diving dodging and commanding :eek:

But like you say is many epic moments in the whole series but those stick in mind without a doubt.
 
- The Girl Who Leapt Through Time ~80mins in where the main character realises that she has another chance to make things right (good insert song helps here too).

- Clannad After Story (ep22) ... following on from the events at the end of ep21 this is an excellent episode and is the culmination of the plot from the first and second series. From the return to the hill, the revisiting of the birth for a second time and the aftermouth always destroys me completely (again really helped by the music)
 
Fight Club - The buildings coming down accompanied by The Pixies Where Is My Mind? Just an amazing climax and the choice of music takes it to another level altogether.

Agree.

And my other favourite epic moment is Andy Dufresne standing in the rain near the end of the Shawshank Redemption.
 
Training Day - when he realised he had been left alone in the kitchen playing cards.

Jaws - From the moment the set off out to sea with Quint.

Terminator Salvation - When he was hung-up and realised he was a robot.

The Deer Hunter - the "Russian Roulette Scene".

The Wire - Omar getting shot in the head by a little tiny kid !! (good call).

I am :(:mad:. Should have know not to come in here though!

For me its probably the ending of Shawshank. The music is unbelievably brilliant. Perfect film for me imo.
