find it quite amusing that Paul Daniels reckons it's relatively easy to do but if so, why did he never try it and resurrect his career a bit?? :D

Because everyone already knows Paul Daniels is a real wizard and these cheap tricks are too easy for him.

If you check out this video in HD:
You can see the far left ball on jumps up between 6:06 & 6:07 – the point they do the swap to the new balls :)

Simplessss

The ball rises so that half the nation would think they've solved the problem in that there's a manipulation of camera tricks involved. They did that on purpose so that, tonight, when the real explanation is explained, we're all sat there looking like idiots!

First of all, those who say he doesn't move during the draw. He clearly does.

Secondly, it would take extreme precision to line the cameras up for a split screen trick. Something I'm certain would be near on impossible whist simply holding it as the cameraman was. Even if he put it on a stand, there would firstly be a lot of image shaking as it's set on the stand and it would still require a lot of aligning to get everything lined up.

Havent read the whole thread so dont know if this has been mentioned, but nobody won the lottery on Wednesday, it's a roll over.

well according to Derren Brown there will be potentially around 60 million winners for tomorrow's lottery :D

ANyone who thinks it's camera trickery or split screen will automatically give me £1 paypal the moment they're proved wrong tonight :)

This guy managed it pretty easily on his own the very next day. So I'm sure Channel 4 could master it.
