or does anyone know the command line switch to get it to start on a vs map and not a co-op ?

God damn it I can't even play Borderlands while I wait for Steam to sort it's **** out. I get that it's going to be busy etc but it shouldn't lock me out of my other games.

In L4D you put the vs map in the command line..

+map l4d_vs_airport01_greenhouse.bsp

Not sure about L4D2.. I only have a campaign server setup at the moment.
 
Well just finished the carnivale campaign, I feel like design could've been better but level felt longer than usual and finale was very hard, we got caned twice before we got the strategy right and that was on normal.

I dont know, although I only just turned steam on at about 10am to find the demo was no longer on my games list, so maybe steams deleted that?

Anyways 91%, although download speed dropped to 250kb/s :(

Yeah there arent any _vs_ maps listed, it looks like its a different command switch possibly :S

I'm reading loads of different things. I put sv_gametypes "versus" in server.cfg, nothing. I put -maxplayers as 8, still nothing.

IIRC you can play the L4D maps in L4D2, probably why they're listed. Not sure on that though.

I'm working on the servers atm. Sorry, been in meetings all morning.

I kind of promised Link I'd do it :p

oh yeah... food, I probably won't be able to play a full campaign at 5 judging by other peoples completion times, guess it'll be SP > pause > finish SP.... online :D

seems like you can run L4D maps, some mats fail on load but thats cause i havent copied them from the L4D install, But we have a L4D2 server running hospital vs
