There's quite a few interesting articles on twilight. I think theoatmeal did one.

Basically women see Bella as themselves because she's a boring empty shell and can be easily associated with because she has the problem normal women do (periods, mood swings etc). Women subsequently get really drawn into the story, and Edward being the perfect kinda guy fool themselves into thinking that they can get interesting monster men too.

Chicks are weird.

Hi, welcome to 50+ posts ago!

This is pretty crazy, but It's also made me wonder if women are more prone to mass hysteria? I'm tempting to watch this film just to see how bad it is. I could only stand ten minutes of Mamma Mia so I don't rate my chances.

I am so not down with the kids..

First I have no idea what twilight is, then I miss a Harry Potter reference. I might as well kill myself!!

I wouldn't worry about it, the sensible approach to this whole thing is either mass genocide, or time-travel, two options, go back, kill the original authors and steal their ideas for yourself, or go back, kill them and rid all existance of these ;)

on another note... when reading those quotes, did anyone else here them spoken in the voice of Meg Griffin in their head... or was that just me...

yes... yes, I think you better had.

I read everything in the voice of the Professor from Futurama.

Now you will too =]

Oh my!

Man up!
My GF already hates me for moaning througout the whole first movie repeatidly saying

GAY GAY GAY ... oh wow he sparkles in the sun? GAY
I walked into the living room last week and noticed my brother watching it with his girlfriend. "Twilight.... never thought I'd see you watching this." I said, just as it got to the bit in the school cafeteria when the vampires first walk in. My brother asked if it was any good, to which I replied in the non-commital, since I was feeling mischevious :) seconds later, as the main vampire dude walked into the room and one girl babbled some bull about him, my brother grabbed the remote, declared the film "GAY!" and turned it off. It was memorable :D
