Don't be too shocked when people in the PC gaming forum prefer PCs to consoles. I'm sure the reverse is true in the console gaming forum. Crazy plan - don't post inflammatory stuff here.

There really should be nothing to debate about as everyone knows consoles are the better platform. (not because consoles are more powerful - because they are not - it's because all the good games are on the consoles)

It's just the ones trying to justify spending £500+ on a PC or even a GFX card, when there are literally no games to play except games made for consoles ported over to PC.
I don't blame them, I once spent over £400 on a GFX card before and learned the hard way theres nothing to play.

That's not saying I don't like the PC because I probably spend more time on my PC than my game consoles but I'm on my PC to either work or IM or facebook but not for gaming. (unless for those addictive flash games )

I have steped over to the darkside and recently got a ps3, and while a lot of the games cant compair with pc in terms of graphics theres a few that can.

I think killzone 2, fight night round 4 and metal gear solid are good looking games that run decent. But the game i am most impressed with is uncharted 2, its the best game i have played this year by a distance. Which is saying a lot as i dont usally like them types of 3rd person games. I also like the fact the all the ps3 games are dolby digital ( the ones i have at least)

Combine that with the blu ray and the fact you can use it as a media center its a really impressive machine for the price you pay i'm really happy i got one.

If a game comes out on pc and ps3 it would still be pc all the way for me. But theres a lot of good games on ps3 that will never come out on pc i jsut hope gt5 lives up to the hype and comes out this year !

Yeah, there's a few very cool games on console. I still couldn't live without my PC but I do enjoy the fact that my housemate owns a ps3 and xbox360

Dirt 2? NFS Shift? They also tend to perform and look better on PC so I dont know where you're going with this. Oh and you forgot all the proper racing sims out there that are honestly the only games that justify these 'expensive' wheels.

I'd welcome Uncharted on the PC or Forza but I have that on my 360. I dont understand the console vs PC argument - If a PC gamer wants to play something like Uncharted they'd buy the console.

Which console?

How many games are there on the PS3 that aren't on the XBox, and vice-versa? How many people claim consoles are better and can't justify spending £500 on a PC, have already bought a PS3 and an XBox 360, because they want the games exclusive to each platform (and maybe a Wii too, plus a handheld or two).

I think it's okay to ocmpare consoles v PCs when talking about technology and usability, because consoles are similar to each other. But if you start talking about the games available, and ports, you should treat them each as separate markets. Games get ported between XBox and PS3 too, and sometimes there are complaints about how badly it's done, or which console is better for which game.

So it's not PC v Consoles, it's PC v XBox360 v PS3 v Wii.

Well to be fair, the PC platform is in dire straits at the minute; only Blizzard and Valve seems to be delivering the goods, and it's too few and far between. I spend way more time on my consoles than my PC to get my gaming fix; this was never the case only a year ago or so.

The person with the inflammatory list didn't do a good job of putting his point across, but it's still just that; a point. There's a load of good games on the consoles, and many more coming out - while there's a dearth of PC games. I eagerly await Diablo III, Starcraft II, Cataclysm and Half Life 2: Episode 3, but that's all there is on my radar. It's not good enough.

Must suck having to buy more cars or skins if you want them after all you pay £30-40 + quid at release to play one short ass game where as we pay £20 on release to buy a game we know will have total conversion mods, new levels, new game modes, new enemies, new weapons, new skins, new stories all for free i na matter of months

We'll we got dedi servers already modded out kits and defibs if we don;t want them we can even play the l4d1 maps now

I own all the consoles and game on my pc, so i get all the best games on consoles and can buy the multiplatform games and play them better on my PC.

When i say PC gaming is better, i'm looking at it by what is there, if a game is on PC and the consoles 99% of the time, the graphics are better, controls are better, performance is better, online is better and it is cheaper!

When i'm playing great console games such as Uncharted 2 and killzone 2, the one thing i'm always saying is "I wish this was on PC to make it run and look that much better".
