Unlikely, as they'd have to migrate all of the character data to the new cluster - more (probably much more) downtime, and a huge risk of unplanned data wipes.

there either an instability in the code or there is simply insufficient capacity in there current hardware pool, or both, i pray they bring more hardware online at some point as its getting tedious

We had some issues this weekend that brought the servers down a couple times. This was due, in large part, to lots of people claiming items from the C-Store and an unrelated bug on the back-end. We've been working all weekend to sort these issues out and we should have some fixes rolled out later today.

I got one of these and put it into the replicator

I dismissed it based on skim reading its stats. Huge mistake! I Want it back

where is that mate and @what rank
i cant finnish the uss eagle mission it keeps telling me to defend it even though there is nothing left to defend it against
but i could really do with some mkIV stuff

anyone received their special item or full game codes from steam or amazon? Its release day so i assumed wed get them today....

You get it as a fleet action at about LtCmdr5. Find the NPC starfleet ship in the Aplha Centuri system - usually either by the entrance from Sol or between there and memory alpha. Respawns every 5mins and takes about 10seconds max to take down. Annoyingly there are a lot of Commanders there now, so the prizes arent as readily accessible as they were.

No, and its annoying (I bought my deluxe edition through steam). Think I got to wait another 9 hours as that's when it says (on the steam website) when the game will unlock.

I wouldn't be surprised if Steam tries to make me DL the whole (10gb) game again!
