Yea shame about the adapters, but nothing you can't sort out with a small mod to the extension cables :).

Keep us updated on your watercooling progress!, i'm interested in venturing onto a water loop myself in the near future.
 
Sorry guys but it looks like I won't have pictures for another week or so, the camera I was using broke so I have to get it replaced luckily it's still in warranty so just need to wait for that to get sorted.

I can tell you though it's looking pretty good! I have got the radiator installed (temporarily) the fans are super, super quiet, even though I have 6 of them going! I will post some new pictures as soon as I can :).
 
Just got my two apache fans and you was right, there pretty awesome.
I was surprised when i picked one up tho, there carry a decent amount of weight 0_o lol. :)

I'm glad you like them :) Yeah they are built exceptionally well right down to the attention to detail of the cable braiding :) I think they are waterproof too, saw a video of someone who just left it in a sink of water and it just kept on spinning. Useless feature of course, but it just shows how robust they are :).

Don't know how the question was aimed at, but heres my 2 pennies.;)

I think it is one of the best case's i've owned.
Loads of room and massive potential. I had a Cosmos S before this and that was a big case, I don't think the 800D is much bigger if any, but there just seems to be more room inside.
This case may be expensive, but imo it's the best.
 
I obviously haven't got around to testing the case properly, but I would say the build quality is excellent with a few exceptions like the plastic covers which feel cheap, but what else could they do?

The only thing this case isn't good for is air cooling. If you are going to have an air cooled system I wouldn't really recommend it, not unless you are prepared to spend a good amount on fans for the top 3 vents and possibly replace some of the stock fans.

The stock fans are pretty good though, you can't really hear them and they shift a reasonable amount of air.
 
Yeah this case was built for water cooling :cool:, nice gear VortX, look forward to seeing this come alive with the future tech you mentioned :).

About the plastic stuff though, I'm sure corsair would like to do a sturdy all aluminium case but would inflate the price tag quite a bit making it not very approachable to enough buyers.

Including me! 215 for a case is silly money anyway, but I think it is worth it in the long run - I love it anyway :).
 
I would just like to share my incredible customer service experience with Corsair! I emailed them just to see if I would even get a reply, asking if they would supply me with more of the black fan screws as I need some more to mount a triple rad with dual sided fans. To my astonishment they quickly reply, forward me to a corsair supervisor who agrees not only to send me the screws I want, but to do it the following morning! Now that's what I call customer service :D.

Yeah, gotta love awesome support like that, creates loyal customers and is good to know for future reference with corsair products :cool:.
Companies I know of from experience that are as good as that are enermax and liyama so there must be others too :). Should be a name and shame and a hall of fame sticky for top customer support :D.
 
New pictures are being uploaded now :) However the camera I took them with is 12MP so I am currently uploading like 160MB of pictures :p Which have to be converted to the appropriate sizes for the forum. - It's going to take a very long time, but they will be up tonight :) - EDIT - I'm uploading them one by one as it keeps crashing!

I have also made a few alterations to the specs list including a few extra accessories and a sound card.

I also received the fan screws from Corsair. However I was incredibly shocked when I read the address of Corsair and fell upon the Initials "CA" - That's right, they sent me screws all the way from California using a courier lol The courier probably cost more than the screws haha Amazing customer service tbh, even if it is just screws. :)

The heatkiller all fitted

The Pump all set up, had to use a 45 degree adapter here as there was too much strain on the hose.

The EK 250 Res, I bought a T rotary adapter to take the strain off the hose as the rad outlet was directly above the res (almost). It also allows me to drain the loop easily as all I have to do is unscrew the bolt at the bottom.
