***Mass Effect 2***SPOILER THREAD***

Liara and Ash/Kadian

Well that's one nail in it's coffin already then isn't it, one of the reasons I like ME2 so much is that none of them are in it for more than a few minutes.

Ashly is a bible bashing butch chick, Kaiden is a pussy and Liara has the most wooden personality ever created.

Honestly I hope they don't pull anything like removing all the ME2 crew, we got to know them so much better than the ME1 guys and they're just better. The ones I would be the most miffed at losing are Thane, Tali, Mordin and Garrus, the rest would be annoying but I wouldn't be that bothered.

Liara and Ashley/Kaiden will be expanded upon in ME2 with DLC I would imagine and I am fairly certain they will be part of your squad in ME3, since Bioware have already said the reason they didn't include them in ME2 is because they didn't want them to die so they could use them for ME3.

I can't see Wrex being used either since he can die in the first game and I would also use the same reasoning for everyone in ME2 who can die. I'm still curious what they are going to do about Shepard being able to die aswell, since bringing him back from the dead a second time is retarded IMO, because if he is just going to be brought back again what would be the point in him dying in the first place

they said you wont be able to import your save from me2 if your sheppard dies

Everyone posts while I'm reading a replying  :p

But that sucks about Shepard being in ME3 if he died at the end of ME2, I mean what is the point of dying if you can just carry on as normal anyway? The only reason I can think of them doing this is because they want ME3 to be playable by everyone, even people who didn't play ME1 or ME2.

Obviously Shepard will be in ME3....you have to seriously screw up for him to die anyway, so it's not like anyone would have got to that situation without actually trying.

I've highlighted your line above. If that was the case, its a bit like playing ME2, getting to the first mission on Omega, dying then saying "Right, thats that - I've died so I can't continue" then uninstalling and selling the game :p

In all seriousness, I understand your point, but I think the Shepard death was only really put in as a worst-case scenario, and as an incentive to play the game properly, and not rush. I don't think they really intended for people to end the game like that a consider it their "proper" attempt at it.

The first bit was released a couple of days ago. Really awesome shotgun and some new armour. Supposedly there is going to be something involving the Mako M57, the hovercraft tank.

nice but kind of useless since i have finished game 100% twice so no point in new armour or gun tbh. any new missions due?

The way i see it:
Tali and Garrus are almost certainly going to be in 3 from the original ME as recruitable. After all, they're awesome.
Grunt is likely to go join Urdnot, or do something on his own to save complications with Wrex/Dead + Grunt/Dead storylines. Meaning we get yet another new Krogan :p
Thane was said to have a few months to live so is unlikely to be featured as more than a short story. Recruiting his son is unlikely.
Samara will just go back to being a Justicar in Asari space and at best will have the odd mention in galactic news.
Mordin i think is the most likely to follow over, unless they think it's just too much to expect him to have even more awesome lines and save dissapointing fans.
Legion is too varied since there were 3 hugely different ways to deal with him and his quest. If the Geth are even really in ME3...
Jack may just vanish and the stories you hear depend on your relationship with her.
Miranda and Jacob... that depends on the Cerberus element of the 3rd game. Its likely you'll meet them but not be able to recruit.

I think the problem is whether or not they can really give some depth to everything. They've left themselves such a huge task, making the 3rd story not contradict the 1st and 2nd and adding elements into them both from the first 2. Kudos for trying since it makes the game so much better, but 3 games is probably a bit much to do it. If they end up spreading everything too thin to meet deadlines its going to be a huge letdown.

The Geth are supposed to play a part of the story all the way through, so I imagine that the third story will centre around uniting your allies under a common flag.
The way they played ME2 is that the Geth will either be your slaves under the Quarians or they will be your allies in some world piece paragon style ending

I can see the illusive man as having some killer weapon (like a death star) that you have the choice of using as an renegade option and then using to dominate the galaxy with as a tyranicle leader.

I imagine all the other races are centred around the winning over of the council and according to past actions you will be able to do this
It would be nice to see more of the Taurians in ME3 as we have yet to see much about them.

I think they will have something more to do with the previous romances, so whomever you chose in the past two games will have more of a part because the lack of previous relationship is a major talking point on a lot of forums, so I think they will add another love interest, but have the option of relighting old fires etc (I feel like Captain Kirk in ME)

Everyone can die afaik, including Shepard, I think Joker is the only one who cant die

I had the super happy ending too, saving everyone
Given that I haven't had Shephard die, can someone explain to me that ending? What point does he die at?

Ooh is that included or do you have to buy it?

Sheperd dies at the Cliffhanger moment when Joker is Stallone and Sheperd is the woman. There is a link to a video on youtube which shows the terribad ending where everyone dies (except Joker).

^He dies at the very, very end while hanging onto the Normandy as the collectors are shooting from behind. He tells Joker to warn the others of the Reapers, then falls.

Here's what I thinks going to happen in ME3.

At one point, possibly the end, the Alliance, Citadel Fleets, Asari, Turians, Salarians etc, will engage Reapers in a "hold the line" (:p) type space standoff, while Shepherd performs another miracle suicide mission which will majorly tip the balance of the fight (he'll exploit a weakness.) The standoff will either go very badly or with minimal casualties depending on your choices throughout the previous games.

I have the Rachni queen promising me her aid when I need it.

I have a huge Geth army that Legion saved and reprogrammed for me.

The Krogan Genophage is highly likely going to be cured (both games have dealt with it in quite a lot of detail) and with Wrex as a leader, the Krogan are probably going to be there too in some form or other (they're supposed to breed ridiculously fast.)

At the very end we'll probably be given a choice which will either end in a multi-species joining together (the good ending) or human control and dominance through Cerberus with the Illusive Man at the helm of some super weapon/technology which he gained depending on your choice at the end of ME2.

Vents: Tali
2nd Squad Leader: Mordin (picked him for fun)
Shield: Samara
Escort: Grunt.
I fought last parts with Garrus and Jack (my lover)

but damn Tali and Miranda (this bitch) died :(, lost 2 squad members :( gutted :(

As mentioned, NONE of the ME1 or ME2 characters will be recruitable in ME3.

Never.

Never ever ever. EVER. It just not feasable or productive.

And your source for this is?

Yes its a big task, if they weren't up for it they shouldn't have come this far. ME3 has a lot to live upto and if they meet those expectations they will get be praised.
