I've been running my Desire without a task manager / killer all day after some good advice.

I've noticed no decrease in performance or with my battery, and i've been using it quite regularly.

... I don't think i'm going to bother with one at all!

Call from the guy Im dealing with at Tmob about an hour ago.
despite only phoning a few days ago have been given one of the Desires they received today @ approx 4pm should be here tomorrow.

Thats the missus sorted, unfortunatley I askd for an extra one too late and mine didnt come out of todays stock :(

Went with £15 p/m 300/300/unl +booster (£95 handset cost)

Went with Tmobile over Orange due to the data and also 3 lines apparantly makes me a more valuable custoemr and I should "look forwards" to upgrade time according to guy at Tmob lol

Just phoned up and got put through to the dispatch dept and was told there was absolutely no delivery of desires today but they hope for one later in the week although they don't have a date for it yet. I said a friend had been told one arrived at 1630 and he was expecting delivery tomorrow but no joy for me! I think I'm just going to have to put it out my mind and wait another week...

Wow that really does suck:(...how long have you been waiting for one??.

When they rung me earlier to say that they have one for me and it will be shipped out i was pretty chuffed but then he said it wont be till Wed:(....i said to him look i was told Sat id have it then Tues id have one so was ready to cancel there and then and he put me on hold...came back and said we will give you another £20 off so from £164 its come down to £122 as i already had £20 knocked off when i first ordered it. Perhaps its because i have a line with them for yrs now so are wanting to keep my custom...have to say im pretty impressed so far with them bending to what i want lol.
 
Finally managed to sort out my MP3 problem re:album art not always showing.

I am using the default HTC player for media and it wouldnt always show the album art. Finally found out you need to put your music in the "media/audio" folder (can be subfolders within if need be)

If its not in there then it wouldnt show all my album art I had embedded within the files, only some would show with no rhyme or reason....


Still awaiting for a GOOD media player to play all media types with a nice widget like the standard HTC player has....

Anyone know of one ??
 
Ooh, just found the perfect tariff for me. £157 for the phone, 100 mins, Unl texts, 3GB data (T-Mobile). £20/m for 18 months. It's fairly cheap, and I'm not tied in for as long as a 24 month contract :D
 
Does anyones haptic feedback when txting seem a little, erm, "odd"? I don't know maybe im picky or maybe i'm too used to the Omnia.

Just over a week now :( It would have been longer but ther they messed up my credit check so I had to re order it again, at least that's sorted now!

I'm just a bit annoyed that they've obviously had a delivery today yet the guy I eventually got through to is telling me he deals directly with any new stock coming in and that they didn't get any. Fair enough if people ordered before me so they're getting it first but there's no need to lie!

I'd definitely cancel but t-mobile is the only company that will give me 2hours calling to Canada as well as the usual mins,txts,net for just £10 a month.
 
Right, tomorrow will be day number 6 of having a phone but having a sim card which hasn't been connected. I keep phoning MPD, but they keep fobbing me off with 'it'll be done in x amount of time'. If it's not connected tomorrow by 12 (which they've told me today :rolleyes:) I'm gunna tell them to sod off and that they can have the phone back.. I wonder how well that will go down :rolleyes:

How did you manage to get it at that price, on the t-mobile site the 15 p/m 300/300 is £191.00 on a 24 month contract.
 
Tmobile have just hiked the prices today :(
I try to just be nice to the guys in sales normally pays off :)

As I mentioned earlier my current contract is with Tmobile and I'm adding an extra for the missus so my offers aren't neccessarily retentions deals it would seem

That's not a good deal, you can get the same minutes and texts for £10 a month over 24 months. If after 18 you want rid just pay off the contract. Cheaper than only signing up for 18 initially. Total for me is £404 (£10 * 24 + £164), yours is £517 for nothing extra. I don't get it.
 
Good price that, i using one i had spare on my old phone the Milestone just took a few cuts here and there to get it to fit.

Yep im thinking the same...mine comes out to £362 which is cheaper than sim free...(£10pm * 24 +122).
