Go to the "People" application, and scroll to the view all section (far left of the screen at the bottom).

Press menu -> view and untick Facebook.

Or is this not what you mean?

thanks, done all that, but still confused as to how to get my sim contacts as 'full contacts' thus enabling me to assign camera pictures to them when they're calling me etc.
 
Migrate sim contacts to your Gmail account under a new group called Sim Contacts or something. GMail sync with contacts is really very very useful, pictures for contacts in gmail push to the phone as do addresses, notes, map links, other info etc. It's so good that I've migrated all my contacts into Gmail even since getting the Magic and out of habit all my contacts have pics/notes/addresses and multiple details all in sync too.

You can back up and restore contacts directly in gmail too.

From the manual:

Importing contacts from the storage card
Press HOME, and then tap > People.
Press MENU, and then tap Import/Export > Import from SD card.
You can only import contacts that were exported to the storage card using the Export to SD card
feature on the phone. See “Backing up your contacts to the storage card.”
3. If you have Google or Exchange ActiveSync accounts set up on your phone, tap the type
for the imported contacts.
Press BACK to stop importing contacts from the storage card.

I second what Khaaan has recommended.

All my contacts are now Gmail contacts and not only does this benefit my phone, but it also benefits my gmail account :) win/win

500MB is no problem for me really, I browse Youtube several times a week (subscribed shows), stream music, browse the forums, download apps etc and although I use WiFi when at home I don't even go close to the 500MB limit when on 3G.

I used to use it to tether to my laptop but with WiFi available more and more places this has not been needed in a long time :p

Thanks for that, it's reassuring especially with most houses I'l be in having wi-fi anyway.

Will get this baby ordered up through phones 4 u as that deal is to good to miss.
 
Glass cleaner is glass cleaner, you don't need to spend over the odds on one. I use Mr Sheen glass cleaner, spray onto cloth, wipe interior glass then immediately wipe buff with a dry MF to remove any waves (seen when looking into the sun through glass) - glass stays shiny, streak and grime free for months.

Got mine this morning...wasnt expecting it as i was told yesterday that id have Wed but alas it came...didnt even get a chance to open the package as i was already late for work...guess ill just have to wait till tonight to have a chance to play with it:(.

/me looks at the time and wishes it was 5pm:p.

I'm quite surprised by the amount of faff you have been put through by T-Mobile.

Mine will be delivered to my work and thanks to the text I got this morning around 8.30am it is [On vehicle for delivery, due between 11:49 - 12:49 ]. Vodafone continue to impress with their level of customer service.
 
I have 2 watchers on my Magic @ £150 so let's hope one of them snaps it up :p

£150 will be perfect, will pay for the contract changeover and accessories!

Well im quite pleased as i got the phone knocked down to £122 and im paying £10 pm over 24 mths..which makes it even cheaper than buying it sim free...so yeh they might have faffed me around but i guess being a very loyal customer to them meant i got possibly the best deal around.

Not fussed anymore as ive got my lovely Desire sat at home...just waiting for the clock to hit 5 so i can get home and have a play with it
