The ruling is a bit ambiguous but it's hard to tell who takes offence at what.
If it were up to me I'd ban Chelski too, that'd really annoy Spawn;)

Not really;)...go ahead ban the word it doesnt bother me at all.

But if it really really bothers you then ill refrain from using it as long as im allowed to use the term Spuds and Liverspuds:D

I think Loki wrote motorised vehicle in front of Toon Army before it was edited.

He wrote carTOON originally.

On Wenger:

Chamakh already spoke to L'Equipe and told them he has signed for Arsenal anyway, and we've all known about it since January so not that big of a deal really, hopefully he won't be a season long bench warmer and Bordeaux seem to think highly of him so he can't be that bad. Robin van Persie also says he's excited at the arrival of Chamakh and believes he may be the key to us winning trophies, take from that what you will as I personally think we have no problem scoring goals, it's keeping them out of our own net that's the problem.

Decent blog which gives lists of transfer rumors.

On topic. I think we do need another striker. If RVP stayed fit this season I truely think we would have won the league this year.

But I agree with our defensive issues. Just getting rid of silvestra will put my mind at ease, id rather a youth player stepped in than him next season.

Say what you want, none of it bothers me:p

I dont think many other teams would complain if they got a decent striker on a free...only DM complains about it:rolleyes:...even if Chamakh doesnt start...hes there as a back up...i mean can we really rely on Eduardo to put in goals anymore??...Wenger should cash him in tbh and with RVP being made out of glass...im glad we got Chamakh who could come in if needed and hopefully put some goals in.

But yes Silvestre to go...still surprised at why Wenger signed him...he offers nothing at all other that ineptness at the highest level:p.

He's anything but free, lets say he's on 20k a week now, a normal transfer he'd be bumped to 30 or 40k a week and get a million signing on bonus. As he's free, expect it to be a 3-4 million signing on bonus, and its 50k a week(maybe more) instead of 30k a week, thats 1 million a year in wages extra, if he stays for 5 years, that means he cost 9million, not free, not close to free.

He'll be sitting on the bench, RVP is our starter in a 4-5-1, Bendtner scored more important goals than RVP did this season and wasn't fit all year. Eduardo is better than Chamakh, he's playing badly, BECAUSE HE'S NOT PLAYING. Chamakh will be just as not match fit, and not sharp, when he's not playing every game. We've got 5 quality strikers, 4 of which are not match fit or sharp, purely because they aren't playing, why make that 5 not match fit players who aren't sharp?

Not to mention that if we pay him 50k a week, thats 50k a week less that we can afford to pay, an extra centre back we do need because the cover isn't good enough, or some wingers with pace who actually are wingers, or a DM.

The idea that getting a player on a free is a good idea, when he won't play and takes money away from getting players we do need is completely ridiculous.

Same way we loaned out Senderos, because Wenger thought that having him ride the bench on 30k a week or so, was rather pointless when we had Silvestre aswell sitting around sucking up wages.

The reason we didn't get an extra CB last season, because we're paying Silvestre, and were paying Senderos. Extra players takes wages, and every player on a high wage means another player you can't afford.

We have 5 strikers, we have plenty of cover, why add higher wages to the team riding the bench?

We've got 2 decent CB's, and Sol, no idea how long he'll last and every year our CB's get injured due to lack of rotation throughout the season. We're desparate for another decent CB, so given the choice, do you want another 50k to go on wages for someone where we've got 4 deep backup who are all quality, or a backup CB whose actually good enough. IF and ONLY IF we got two GK's, 2 CB's(3 if Gallas goes) and a DM would I consider an extra striker fine, if there was the money. I'm not against a bigger squad and more backup, but Wengers a tight little git, we are desparate for 4 maybe 5 players, I don't think he'll be getting Chamakh ASWELL as all those, but he'll get Chamakh instead of someone we need more.

Bendtner is terrible though. arsenal would be better off without if they signed Chamkh

?

Bender has his moments...probloem with him is his first touch is just so absolutely dire that it makes you want to cry...if he had a better first touch then he would be much more effective.

Getting rid of Eduardo and Vela and leaving Bender, RVP and Chamakh as our main strikers would work well i think....as long as Bender and RVP dont get injured for long periods and also Chamakh....hopefully he isnt made out of glass:p.

LOL im sure Wenger can afford to pay him £50k a week for riding the bench...if he couldnt then Wenger wouldnt put the finances of the club under pressure would he??...we all know how he dislikes paying players stupid amounbts of money...

As for Senderos??..only reason why he was loaned out as he wanted to play more games in order to be picked for the WC...which is fair enough....honestly that was a mistake from Wenger...should have kept him and loaned out Silvestre...not that anyone would want him though:p.

Eduardo has never looked good enough. I would be happy with RvP, Bendtner, Chamakh and Vela as our forwards. Goal keeper and CB's are required if we are to progress next year though. I lvoe DM's completely made up 9 mil.

Bender boy isn't terrible. He's a developing, young player who's only just starting his career. He banged in goals at a very consistent rate before he got injured, he offers us a plan B with his physique and iirc he was recently voted Denmarks player of the year or similar. Not terrible in any sense of the word, he just has a lot of improving to do but from what he showed in the little run he had before the injury, he was growing into a handy player to have.

*awaits a DM post explaining why Bendtner is ***** :p

Bendtner used to have an amazing finishing touch when he was younger and I still think he can make it. He has come on better this year but I still think he is another season or two off his best (if he gets there)

I am looking forward to Chamakh. I havent seen much of him but he sounds promising.

I think in defence we should promote Bartlett (If thats his name from reserves) and we also have the other swiss guy whos name escapes me. D.......

I just see the same problems for next year with our squad not being able to take the injury hit we get each season.

We have one striker...Cham...

If we got a worldclass goalie and a couple of CB's I would have a very happy summer. England winning the worldcup would be a bonus ;)

What's everyone talking about, Arsenal are sitting on a golden goose - Bendtner will be the worlds best striker in a year according to the man himself... :p

Djourou played on the weekend, nice to see him back after a long spell on the sidelines due to injury (surprise surprise). He can play in the midfield too so he's a good player to have fit, having a bit of utility is never a bad thing in my opinion. He's quite a tall lad as well at 6 foot 4 so it'll be interesting to see how he gets on next season.

I think according to him he is already the worlds best :D

I do like him and he will come good!!! :p

Djourou! Thats him. Big lad and fits in well with his injury proneness ;) But I would like to see him given a good run in the side.

One more CB would be nice though. I think we need at least five good CBs in total with our bad luck. Verm, Gallas, Djourou, Bartlett and another experienced (non french - silvestra) CB

I lolled at the "fits right in with his injury prone-ness" funny, yet true. :D

Here's some of the defenders that we've been linked with over the past few months:

Cristian Zapata - Udinese
Jerome Boateng - Hamburg SV
Martin Caceres - Barcelona
Christoph Metzelder - Real Madrid
Brede Hangeland - Fulham
Gary Cahill - Bolton
David Luiz - Benfica
Micah Richards - Man City
Phil Jones - Everton
Simon Kjaer - Palermo
Steven Mouyokolo - Hull
Mamadou Sakho - Paris Saint Germain
Pape Diakhaté - Dynamo Kiev
Matthew Upson - West Ham
Neven Subotic - Borussia Dortmund

Some good names in there...id love to see Hangeland at Arsenal but Wenger said a few weeks ago that he wasnt interested in him.

I'd like to see Matthew Upson, Subotic, Kjaer and Jerome Boateng. Although knowing Wenger we'll have none of those but we will get some South American for 50p. Hope he doesn't pursue players like Metzelder, last time I saw him play for Germany he was utterly woeful, him and Mertesacker were just getting turned inside out, although that was a few years ago at Euro 2008. I haven't even seen him play for Real Madrid and they aren't exactly defensively amazing so I don't know what that says about him. Nice and tall though.

Don't think Arsenal could afford (or Arsene would spend) the money required for Subotic and Kjaer, think they are going to be demanding high fees.
