Hippies yelling "Tory scum".

Honestly, one minute they protest over the war (Labour action) and the next minute they're hating on the Tories!

Hague not saying much.

What happens now if the Con/Lib deal falls apart, after Brown has officially gone?

Would we see Cameron rush in and go it alone?

They hate everything. Unless we all move back to mud huts and move to trade based society and away from money.

+1. Love him or loathe him, you have to give respect to the men/women who take up the post of PM. It must be the most difficult job in the country. And as said, he resinged with dignity and honour and gave the impression that, whatever anyone may think. he really tried to do his best for the country and it's people. That, if nothing else, deserves our utmost respect. :)

Did the BBC say Nick Clegg will be "Deputy PM"? Should this not be Hague or Osborne?

Clegg has shown his true colours if so, willing to jump into bed with anyone be it Conservatives or Labour.

As many of you are aware I'm sure, I am a Conservative, but I feel that Gordon Brown has just resigned with dignity and honour as befits an outgoing Prime Minister.

I am unashamed to say that I found his speech moving and he has risen dramatically in my estimation of him as a man, if not a politician.

I agree, for all his failings he did fulfil the first promise he made as PM - that he would do his utmost.

The Tory hating Lib Dems need to realise that the country comes first and this coalition is very much primarily in the countries best interest. These two parties are best placed to try and turn things around for us after thirteen years of Labour waste and financial suicide.

the tory lovers, love to forger the recession they caused!
