No, I don't think so. He's probably tired of having to respond to people who understand and know little but seem to be internet intellectuals and know everything about Islam and Muslims.

Anyway, is this thread still about drawing the Prophet (pbuh) lol
 
This was a Muslim arranged marriage when I was in Egypt in May.
Surely this is something we want in this country?

I don't know, but the issue is so ****ing repetitive it's draining.

It's the same story as Atheism v.s. Christianity it just loops around and around in a boring circle every time the issue is brought up, Atheists will always think the same way and so with Christians. At first I thought "Maybe you can try and reason with them to show why people would draw him in the first place" but it's obvious they will not budge, and it's obvious whatever they say won't make the people who believe in free rights budge either, so the issue is just going to loop and loop and loop and loop.

As my mate would say: "Bored now"

Well if my fiancee was still catholic then no she wouldnt be able to pray beside me:confused:...how could she??...shes not muslim but if she wanted to learn how to pray then i would teach her or send her to someone who could teach her.

See there's one difference between religions my fiancee if a muslim would be welcome into my church to pray.

I agree, the fact that he calls us 'bum chums' sums it up really ,
also quite sad that the man who posted a picture of some the greatest minds on the planet with the label ' idiots' & then goes on to calls us idiots surely puts us on a level with Albert Einstein ? :p:p

Well maybe i worded it wrongly but if a christian wanted to enter a mosque then they are allowed to...although different mosques might have different ideas i suppose.

But i dont really know if a non muslim would be allowed to pray in a mosque because in order to pray you have to take the oath that says your now a muslim i think...not 110% sure on that but from past experiences thats what is usually required but we dont have any issues with non muslims wanting to go into a mosque ie the royal family have done so in the past along with other important people. Also schools have taken their pupils into mosques although i remember reading a few weeks ago that some woman went a bit mental because her daughter was asked to cover her head out of respect when they entered the mosque....a big fuss was caused over that.

To be fair i dont see a problem with it...i mean i have no issue if a non muslim prayed alongside me in all honesty...im open minded about such things. But you dont find that happening because to pray as a muslim you would need to take the oath that says your a muslim ie the Shahadah. Same thing for a muslim, i dont mind going into a church, i have done so at a friend wedding etc but i dont join in the prayers/hymns because firstly i dont know them and secondly im muslim...when i mentioned this to my friend who was getting married...he said not a problem and not to worry about it.

The same went for him when i first got married 8 yrs ago, sadly ended up in divorce...i had no issues with him coming into the mosque for our religious ceremony and neither did he and neither did i force him or ask him to pray with us...but out of respect he did come and his fiancee and his fiancee did cover her head...in fact she wore a nice indian suit...looked hot as hell:p

LOL yep thats basically it although im only calling ignorant people ignorant because thats what they are..nothing personal about that i can see, if it deemed personal then a Don/Mod can kindly let me know and i will refrain from using it...anyways not really bothering to pay any attention to his posts and the stuff he says along with izzy and their merry band of ignorants lol....if he doesnt want to act like an adult then thats his problem as far as im concerned...not going to allow myself to stoop to his level.

Watch he will be in here like a shot having another sly dig at me lol.

And no its no longer about the drawing of the Prophet...its gone far beyond that now.

Not quite. A school visit was arranged to go see a mosque. A mother objected to forcing her daughter going (I believe the girl did too) as she did not agree with the rules regarding covering up her arms and head. The school decided to mark her down as a truant for that day. Oddly enough the School was in fact a Catholic School (and the one my daughter is likely to attend when old enough).

The mother was more annoyed at the school for marking her daughter as a truant than at the rules of the mosque. As far as visiting the mosque went she just objected to her daughter having to cover her arms and head for religious reasons and so did not give consent. I personally don't blame her as I disagree with that part of Islam due to the message it represents. (As stated in this thread several times already)

No-one is forcing me to read it, though the original point of the thread has completely gone and now it's just, as I said, a looping argument which wont end. Same thing, over and over, and over again, and oh wait over some more.

Bored now.

I hadn't read the thread since a few days after the 20th, but I was clicking through random pages over the last 2 days and saw someone comparing Muhammad to Hitler on the first 1 I clicked on and then thought "Honestly, what has this degraded to?"

Ahh fair enough, i didnt really read much into the story myself tbh. I just remember skimming over it quickly whilst browsing the daily fail site as i normally do when bored at work.

Strangely enough my next-door neighbours son got suspended from our local school for not praying to allah in an RE class. His point was he isn't a muslim and has no intention of being so why should he, the teacher took great offence to him not wanting to be a muslim and started a process of getting him suspended for being disruptive.

I suppose it's similar to the fact that you wouldn't be able to recieve communion in my church unless you were baptised and in the case of my church also confirmed.
