What...?!? He is meant to be a striker...not a defensive holder up of the ball.


He can't even hold the ball up properly as it is if that is his job, he should not be playing for England. He can't do anything, couldn't even step over the ball and cross it. He hit it into his other leg, then spooned the ball and fell over.
 
Lampard and Gerrard DOES NOT WORK
Rooney is not world class in his England role
Need to get real wingers in the team that can cross a ball into the box

Multimillionaire playboys that look like they would rather be shopping with their wags than winning games for England, the manager does not seem to have the ability to get the team working or to direct some change to influence the match, he's to blame as much as the players.

WHOA!!!!!!!

I'm not having that!!!! - Literally every 2nd touch from Heskey tonight was a tackle - well not every 2nd touch coz most of the time he didnt even make the tackle!!
He was (as he always is) utter rubbish!!!!
The only silver lining was the comedy moment when he "burst" down the right, lost the ball under his own feet and blasted it into the crowd!

England are just rubbish - predictable and no invention whatsoever, simple as. Joe cole should have been on from the start of the 2nd half. If there was an argument for Adam Johnson to be in the squad then this game was it- we needed a player with that extra something, unpredictability and somebody nobody knows much about. A BIG mistake from Capello IMO.

THey can do it in the league but not for England when it matters, qualifiers was a fluke

As a Scot I don't see the problem, I'd rather see a British team doing well than them continuing to do poorly. It's still early days though, I think for a change England need to stand by their manager and stop blaming him, the ball, the pitch and just lay blame where it should be - at the feet of the players.

Have you ever watched him for United?

None of the England managers have been able to make use of any of our great players, Lampard, Rooney, Gerrard have all been wasted in an England shirt.

Wonder how many goals Rooney would have got this season if Fergie had stuck him alongside the newly signed Heskey, put Scholes on left wing and left Valencia on the bench the whole time...
 
England are normally useless at the World Cup whether they have a decent team on paper or not, why is anybody surprised ? I gave up watching England games live a while ago at least that way I can just check the result and see if I want to give them 90 minutes of my time.

He did as much as the world class Wayne Rooney, he got backed and deafened and still got up front.
 
Good old England.

Over rated and Over hyped.

Built up to be this world class side full of world class players.

Won't single anyone out as they were all poor.

Defended too deep, wanted too much time on the ball, didn't press and close down Algeria as much, second to every ball, no flair, no passing, couldn't get a foothold in the midfield.

Silly mistakes made my Capello, he got things wrong again tonight. Nothing has changed.

I find it hard to forgive and defend players that put so little effort in.

erm they did say around the 75minute mark that algeria were the better team on the night.
 
England players must be sunday league + the manager must be Engilish = Better perfomance than tonight.

Did you see Beckham, He was doing his boots up...!

We have some great players, but we have to utilise them in the positions that they play in.

For crying out loud, Rooney ( the main goal scorer ) was in misdfield passing to the striker who wasn't there, no you were in midfield passing to yourself.

Better go now got really anoid with that effort tonight.

Did he have to pay £3,000 to get out there and get tickets for the game? No I don't think so.

They had every right to boo.
