What film did you watch last night?

Hot Tub Time Machine: Didn't enjoy it that much, found it a bit of rubbish.
Unthinkable: Nice psychological thriller, ending could have been more thorough.

Ip Man

Absolutely amazing, I'm reminded why I like Donnie Yen so much :p

Ip Man 2 ongoing at the moment.

WOAH, I never thought a sequel could be so good, watched Rec 2 last night, way more action and some awesome head cam shots from the swat team etc!

They are a great set of films. Very watchable although perhaps lacking a little in depth. Pity there aren't that many films that achieve this in the fantasy area.. last two to really grip me were Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal.

Now, as a geekily massive harry Potter fan, I hate them after the first, as they just ... I don't know, lack the little things that at later stages become important to the story arch.

I find little problems, and I just can't enjoy them.

When I'm too tired to pay much attention, I agree, they're fantastic kids films, especially the first for younger ones. I still smile and giggle when you first see Hagrid and meet Mr. Ollivander and see Hogwarts :)

Lord of the Rings, Labyrinth, The never ending story and Pans labyrinth have all really impressed me as "fantasy films" :)

Pineapple Express - 7/10 started very well but the plot got a bit lost near the end

Superbad 9/10 seen it a million times but its brilliant

Get him to the Greek 7.5/10 Diddy and Russell Brand surprisingly very good in the film. Has some really LOL moments but its starts to come unstuck near the end

Everyman's War. Not bad but no better 5 - 6 / 10 at the most, I must be in a generous mood. :D

Now watching 'The Prestige'. Very good so far. Christian Bale's English accent is perfect.

Can't help but feel that with your comparison you perhaps were looking for something different to what the film had to offer.

I must admit this was probably the reason why I didn't like The Road. I bought this and Book of Eli and kin of expected similar. The Road didn't do anything for me but I think I expected the wrong thing from it.

I knew it wasn't an action film ala Eli but the film just did nothing.... nothing happened whatsoever other than the glaringly obvious fact that either the Dad or the Son wouldn't see it through till the end

Just a proper borefest

goodfellas amazing film... not in the same league as other mafia films but still amazing...

9/10
I watched that last night too. Very funny film. I love the scene where Tommy (Pesci) shoots Spider (Michael Imperioli, aka Christopher Moltisanti):

Henry Hill: He's dead.
Tommy DeVito: I'm a good shot. What do you want from me?

:D
