I've been trying daily now to get through to Orange on their 150 number and simply can't get through to an operator. I'm due an upgrade and all I want to do is place an order in for one for when they come in stock again grr. It's really annoying me now because I genuinely need one from next week as I've got loads of teleconferences I need to be a part of and my current phone and contract won't cut it.

Did you get through to them on phone or place your order in a store?
 
Ok, can someone tell me whats going down.

When im at work i have a clear line of sight to the mobile mast/tower. (it supports o2)
But sometime my ip4 just doesnt see it, it goes from full bars to searching to no service back to full.

Is this a device fault or a ios fault or am i just being a noob....?

I have a bumper on so no conduction is happening between the antennas.

I finally got through and he told me to register my interest on the site and they will let me know when they have stock.

I'm doing exactly the same mate! Just had my bumper shipping email today and ordering my zaggs tonight. Expensive yes, but it'll look sweet and will be pretty well protected :)

I placed my order on the phone, the number I used was (from a landline) - 0800 079 2000 :)
 
Well I finally got my mits on mine this morning. My Dad claimed to have had a quick look but it was covered in finger prints! After spending most of the day with it first impressions are.... I love it. The screen is fantastic, its striking how sharp it is. I like all the iOS4 features like folders and multitasking. The camera is real nice as well. The signal strength on it is much better at my work compare to my 3GS. I did encounter the signal problem although I was trying to get it do it and it seems the way I hold my phone means it doesn't seem (so far) to be affecting me. Colour me happy :)
 
has anyone else had problems with the flash? when i take a photo with it. all i seem to get is a blue screen cant see the picture really at all??

Excellent news. This was one of things that annoyed most over the 3gs.

It is from there online store, If you want this on vodafone then go ahead :)

We said we would keep you up to date with your order.

We are working closely with Apple to get more stock. As soon as we know when we'll get it we'll be in touch with an accurate delivery time. Don't worry though, we still have your order and are expecting stock to arrive this week.

It would seem that the stock shortages are being alleviated a bit now, Orange told me (for my order) they should get enough handsets in this week to sort out the pre-order backlog, and are subsequently taking more pre-orders.

I would imagine it is the same for Vodafone. At the end of the day, unless you want to go into a shop (if any have stock) and get one, this is your best bet.
