*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Anyone ordered/hoping to order from Tesco and know about their stock levels? Sorry if this has been discussed in previous pages, just been away for a few days and can't be bothered to read through x number of pages...

I phoned them and they have no idea when there is stock coming in, best bet is to register on-line.

Ok i dont know what the CS rep was looking at earlier but he was lying about my order being allocated a phone for delivery tomorrow. Its not :(

Ive just spoken to a Orange CS Manager. He stated that no new stock had come in today for new customers/back orders. Only a small number had arrived for upgrades.

He said that stock was due in this week to be allocated to back orders.
This is more than likely the truth as the people who have received dispatch texts today are those who are upgrading.

New customers and those on back order will have to wait for the new stock to arrive and get allocated out to us.

Will keep you posted if i hear anything more or finally get my dispatch note.

Ah sorry to hear it, I was hoping they'd have them today. I'm certainly hoping they get them ready for the weekend, which doesn't leave much time rofl.

ring O2 and tell them to blurping well quit it!! o2 will probably have to disable that type of notification

Called them today, their only solution at the minute is to reinput the network data for payandgo.o2.co.uk then restart the phone. Done it and it still happens =/

Called back and they reccomended restoring the phone as they think its a software glitch.

Apparently a few people have got it to stop by removing all traces of their email accounts from the phone.

Looks like o2 will have to figure it out and issue an update via itunes.

The legal system is such a joke. Why the **** should you be able to sue them for making a mistake? Scum.

Why wouldn't you? Are you seriously trying to tell me that an inherent problem with the antenna/software on a premium product which costs over £500 should be shrugged away with "your holding it wrong" type responses from the manufacturers?

Should the issue be sorted with a software update, I'm sure this lawsuit will go away eventually, but the general response, or lack of a proper response to thousands upon thousands of reported issues shows that drastic action needs to be taken either by Apple, or by a consumer such as the case with this guy suing Apple.

If the turbo on your Volvo had an inherent fault where it wouldn't work properly, or worked in certain circumstances - and Volvo told you that you were 'driving the car wrong', or told you to buy another bit of kit from them (i.e. the bumpers), would you not understandably be rather annoyed, or demand action from Volvo for their lack of response?

EDIT: I do see what you're saying though. Perhaps he bought it on launch day when the extent of the issue wasn't known?

You can sell the phone on ebay for a £300 + profit

Theres no excuse other than whinning.

If i did buy a volvo that had a fault i couldnt bear, i would sell it, pocket the profit and buy a different one.

But it's a Volvo! :p

Then the next person buys it, has the same problem, and the same lack of professional responses from the manufacturer. The cycle continues until somebody takes responsibility for messing up, or takes the manufacturer to court. At the moment, it's a 'la-la I can't hear you' type situation on Apple's part which makes it frustrating to everyone who's having this problem and spent over £500 for a premium product.

Rather than trying to take court action, the sensible thing would surely to be return the product for a full refund

This person should (and hopefully will) get laughed out of court!

At the end of the day, if people have problems with this phone they aren't happy with they should be getting their money back - not keeping it and moaning about it. If you CAN live with this issues then fine. Nobody is owed anything here, Apple don't 'owe' us a perfect device. Sure the phone SHOULDN'T have these problems but you eitehr accept them or get your money back.
