Top Gear returns on Sunday 27th June at 8pm

Someone with weird taste always complains regardless of what episode it is.

Way of life in the modern age.

I saw one of those new Camaro's round town the other day. Well, maybe not the SS, but definitely the recent revision. It looked great and sounded pretty good too. I'd pick it over the Merc because if you're buying that sort of car, why would you choose a black Merc that is indistinguishable from any other black Merc to anyone who isn't a car geek? You want something that looks the part.

And yes, that bridesmaid was mad fly, yo.

I thought it was an enjoyable episode, super saloons were interesting, and the muscle car comparison was odd but still fun. Good to see Rubens on there too :).

Using the premise of a Muscle Car comparison as a thinly veiled excuse to hoon a £40k Camaro and a £73k Merc Saloon on the track = nonsense. In no way could they be compared to eachother reasonably and they didn't even review either properly.

How so? TG have hooned an Evo and a Lambo around the track before, to illustrate just how good an Evo is.
So why not show if a Camaro is as good (or not) as a more expensive Merc?

The bride? the bridesmaid who was in the car with Clarkson was better!

Best parts of this episode were:

1: The Quattroporte sound.
2: The E63 AMG sound.

Everything else comes after!

I prefer the V12 in the AMR, and after all these years still sounds as amazing as ever.

Really love the filming production work in today's episodes. Although I hated that Merc, the effects were fantastic.

Was just about to post about this. Watching it now on iPlayer and the camera work and editing during this piece is amazing. They must have some very talented people working on this program.

getting off with Emma Watson... Don't be daft..

/Sarcasm

Indeed, why can't he just be honest.

Have to agree with this, especially after seeing the last episode of the previous season. The Beeb in general are very good at directing, you can see that if you watch the F1.

Up there with one of the best ep's in a while IMO.

My opinion also. The 4-door saloon test at the beginning could have been from the early days - three mates having a good laugh with cars is the guts of the program. It didn't feel scripted, it didn't feel like they were playing roles, their enjoyment seemed completely spontaneous...nothing seemed set up and forced. Just how it should be.

The Quattroporte sounds so good that it would be worth hiring a chauffeur to drive it past you repeatedly. The hair on my arms stood up during the tunnel. The relative silence of the Porsche is impressive in its own way, but the Quattroporte's noise is like riding a giant lion. Sure, a horse would be more efficient, but it's not primal.
