LOLz.. buying a £12K humdrum golf from a dealer is 'sensible' now is it..
People's ability to see everything as black and white is comical...
He'd spend more pm on a £12K golf, and have almost nothing to show at the end of it, as it's probably over inflated by £2K, making it a £10K car to most people, after 3 years it'll be worth £4K or so, he'd have spent £50pm more to buy it outright, making nearly £2k extra in monthly payments over the term, leaving him £2K approx at best at the end, and have a 5 or 6 year old humdrum golf.. The thread would be the same lolfest if he came on here and said "I'm spending £12K on a humdrum golf from a main dealer"..
And also, if I got a 335i for £25K I'd be lauded as making a great purchase, Yet it will lose me £12K+ over 3 years in depreciation alone with masively higher running costs, and I no doubt, as with most people, I'd largely just be going from A-B with it, so in actual fact the only justification for having my wallet raped even more then the OP in financial terms is how the car felt to drive, or how the indicator stalks turned me on, which to some would be evern more idiotic if they didn't get their jollies in that way.
Perspective people.. perspective..
Oh, and I do personally see a more rewarding car to drive/performance etc as better for me.. I just don't ridicule those that dont...
