i highly doubt that Bellamy will be sold as i can see him coming back next season....cardiff have a pretty good team actually eg Chopra,Whittingham etc
With wages...were paying half (45k) cardiff paying 22.5 and someone else paing 22.5 (a local businessman or something)

Damn, was hoping we could get a shot at ozil when (if?) cesc leaves next year :(

A shame that such a talent is probably going to end up being a 'what if' player, Khedira being a more defensive player I can possibly see getting a game but how is Ozil going to get a game ahead of Ronaldo, Kaka, Di Maria & Alonso?

From what I've read Ozil always had his heart set on Real Madrid.

I've said it a million times before, we don't know what goes on in the background, Fergie could have approached him to be told he wants to go to Madrid, this will probably explain why we were never serious about him.

I have a new found respect for Craig Bellamy, I hate the little **** with a passion but after listening to his interview I respect him ever so slightly.

It would have been easy for him to come out and rip into Mancini and man City but he conducted himself really well.

What makes you think he will end up being a "what if" player?

Jose likes his 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formations.
Last season he had Sneijder play in that role behind either the one attacker or two that Inter generally played with.

Worked wonders, Sneijder had the best season he's ever had.
Özil plays in the same position, He's also adaptable to playing on either wing.

Kaka is injured, He didn't exactly set the league alight either.
Alonso is a defensive minded midfielder, Don't know why you even bother putting him into that list.

If anything i see Madrid playing a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Casillas
Ramos Pepe Carvalho Arbeloa

Khedira Alonso

Ronaldo Özil Di Maria

Higuain

With the likes of, Canales, Kaka, Benzema, Van der Vaart, Pedro Leon, L.Diarra, Gago, M. Diarra still on the roster too.

They're even more stacked when you compare it to Barca.

Looking forward to the El Clasico this season for sure, CL should be interesting, With the wealth of talent both teams have they should quite easily get into the finals too.

I think he was probably basing that on the recent history of Real and their seeming inability to get the best out of any new signing. As far as I'm concerned Real ruin players, I can't think of a player who has signed for Real recently and played better than at the club he was with previously. Having said that, things could be different now that Mourinho is in charge. I honestly wouldn't be at all surprised if Barca beat them to the prizes again though.

real madrid have bought in quantity rather than quality.

ozil, di maria, and khedira, may well be rising stars but they aren't the finished article.

barcelona bought villa (who single handedly destroyed defences at the world cup) and has had a high scoring pedigree for many years at a poor club.

i see barcelona getting fabregas next year, they are only going from strength to strength, madrid just seem to be buying poorer quality players.

..... and now Madrid have got Ozil with seemingly no competition from anyone else

I totally agree with where you are coming from - the only thing I would say is that some reports over the last day or so are putting it in black and white that there has been an unwritten agreement between Ozil's father and RM to go there - now I dont know how long that has been the case but with Ozil's father saying (reportedly) "my word is my bond" or words to that effect it doesnt look like Man Utd had any chance to start with (or Chelsea for that matter)

You never know, Maureen moving to OT when SAF retires after getting titles 19 & 20 lol and bringing an experienced Ozil and a couple of others with him :D

Personally think IF anyone is signed for midfield (which I still think we need even if Cleverly is fantastic this season and Gibson actually shows the facets of his game absent upto now) it will be a RM cast off

So what you're basically saying is that there's a hell of a lot of attacking talent at Real Madrid? Isn't that kind of proving his point?

Come on, I'll give you a clue, his first name begins with A.

Possibly one of the most famous signings of all time.

I wikid it after your post was no help at all

Initially thought Shearer (being ex Southampton) but didnt think Souness was there then, why would I know about a player called Ali Dia, would have been a lot easier if you had just posted what you knew originally

ps maybe if you had said INfamous rather than famous it would have been less misleading

hey ho

Ali the legend.

:D

didnt see your post til afterwards, but would still not have meant anything (untill about two minutes ago) lol
