in the DX11 vs DX9 screenies, the DX11 version looks far sharper and less blurry and flat. Hopefully the DX11 patch won't take long.

can't understand why nobody is not posting any screenshots?!?

suzuka, hard to get a nice screenshot because the game has some wierd gausian blur filter thing going on even when you set blur to off.

aspect ratio might be a bit off because i just set imageshack to resize them from 1920x1080

it looks alright but if you compare it so NFS:shift the textures are nowhere near as high res even for the road and the colours are just awful thanks to codemasters using a silly filter again.....

a high res texture mod would be nice

cheers for the screenshots arknor,i can cope with them being not as good as other racers, All im bothered about is the handing,is that ok? and not floating cars.

The comparison screenshot a page or two ago was nice, the one without the light filter, but I still think the graphics posted here are by no means poor. It would admittedly be better without the weird filter that seems to be present, but it's by no means an ugly game.

would be nice to brighten it up a bit judging from the shots. Not overly bothered about massive detail level but it does make it look a tad dull. No doubt some clever person will adjust the hue and saturation levels via a mod and hopefully replace some textures.
Shift looks tons better with mods so this will be same.

The AI seems to be a little better with longer races. Yesterday I ran a race at 30% and won fairly easily in a Virgin, but today I tried 50% and the AI was a lot more competetive. Yes, Legendary AI, no driving aids. Part of it was probably me having to save tires and going around kerbs to avoid punctures, but part of it was also that the AI just paces itself much better the longer the race goes. I still finished 9th quite comfortably and took the fastest lap, but at least it was a race! Then again, I was driving an HRT so I still would have smashed them in a proper car.

A little annoying, really. I'm not even a particularly good racer as far as iRacing and such goes. Codies just need to add two more difficulty levels and it'll be all good.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and just to throw in a positive, I think I've finally figured out how exactly to drive these cars. Now I can really push them far enough and make them slide and twitch just a little bit, like they do in real life. That's kind of awesome.

I've been having trouble with the xbox 360 deadzone ... i seen someone else had this trouble on here as well. I found the solution.

Go to your main install folder > action map

Inside that folder are lots of xml files, the one you want is called Windows XInput. Open that with wordpad. Near the top of the file are options for left and right steering. Set it to whatever you feel is comfortable. 0.1 = 10%

Hope that helps anyone who needs to change it.
