And the Corsair CX400W are stressed tested in review to be able to output 450W without problem:

For low budget, you really only got these two to choose from:could anyone spec me a 500w or more more to fit my build 50£ more or less
modular is cable mangement right? For lower budget, you really only got these two to choose from:

Between the two, I'd pay the £10 extra for the higher efficiency and modular cable of the ModXstream...but if you really want to save £10, then go for the SteathXStream.
Yea. You can detach cables that you don't need/use so they won't be hanging around inside the case obstructing airflow:modular is cable mangement right?
It's currently out of stock...and someone in the pass on the forum had problem with the Basiq, so not sure if it's good to recommend it.how bout the antec basiq plus 550w modular psu?
Generally specking, the CX400W would be more than enough. What worries me is that if he is oh-so-lucky to unlock the two working cores, and then overclocking it to 3.8GHz~ on 1.45V vcore (yea damn Phenom II Quad overclocking need high vcore), plus with the GTX460 overclocking to 850MHz might become too much for the CX400W...Look back at that Hardware secrets review - the CX400 actually delivered 484W - it's a little beast and more than enough for a single 460 build, even OCd. The OCZ stealthextreme 500 shutdown at bang on 500 so doesn't really offer anything more. The modextreme does well and is probably worth its money, but it really pushes your budget and you dont really need it. If you can stretch to it and really want a modular, then fine.
