****Official Fallout New Vegas Thread****

Recieved mine today and its superb. Its the same as fallout 3 with a different story which to me is perfect. It runs identical to fallout 3 a bit juderry now and again and noticeable tearing but nothing to detract from the experience..

Now to find a spare 140+ hours of my life.....

Is this on PS3 or 360? Heard reports of Ps3 stuttering but haven't in regards to the 360...

Ah ok, actually going on your sig should have realised you'd played it on 360... I'll wait to get my copy in the post and play it for the story.... Screen tearing seems to be part and parcel of console gaming nowadays. I've learnt to mostly ignore it..:p

When you say 140 hours - guess this is a long game then. lol

Thats how long i put into Fallout 3 and still have things to do. :D

Yeah there is a bit of tearing but nothing that distracts from the game. I,m sure the Pc geeks will say that it looks so much better at 1080p with 4million anti-alaising .. :D:D

they always do though, but then 1920 x 1080 with 8 x AA or MSAA is always going to kick the nuts out of a sub £200 console.. Least forgetting most play at this res with a sub £600 or more PC, anyhow.. This'll open up a can of worms, I've got the Ps3 version in the post so I'll just enjoy the story and hope its good.. Do me just fine..
 
Mine has been dispatched today, and after getting into Fallout 3 WAY after it was released I wasn't going to do to same with this one ... weekend planned so far :D providing it arrives tomorrow that is ..!

How long will the basic game take to complete? really tempted by this but 140 hours is a bit frightening and far too long for me I think.
 
Not 140 hours! I wish, Also Vid above contains swearing I'd remove it. Guy sounds like a total idiot anyway.
 
Anyone got an indication at what price the supermarkets are going to be doing this for tomorrow?

I'd be very surprised if it's 140 hours. I've only got 40 hours on my current Fallout 3 save in which I've done everything there is to do in both the main game and each of the expansions.
 
I'm going to wait for the GOTY edition with the obviously planned expansions.
After borderlands, Fallout3 and even Red Dead to a point im getting sick of offloading 3200 MS points on addons to a game.

And for a single player game like Fallout which I know is going to be good their is no real rush. Frankly id still suggest buying fallout3 GOTY edition to anyone who hasnt played it and its so cheap now.

(I reserve the right to go back on my statement and fold like a pack of cards the first time I walk into a shop and see it for sale)

I'm the same, will wait for the inevitable GOTY edition. Admittedly, PSN+ chucking out the fallout 3 add-ons for free has made this much easier for me! Plus Dragon Age Origins Ultimate, Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2 should tide me over.
