***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

Seriously guys you should just try the Dodge Challenger race modified and then tuned further. Monaco is laughably easy, if you're in the lead after the first bend then you just automatically win due to the CPU's inability to pass anywhere on this track. Deep Forest is slightly harder but it took me three tries at the most, which was when I realised if you just push the Toyota 7 off he never recovers. The Countach when I had it was terrible, not to mention the fact you can't race modify it. Failing that someone could lend you a Chaparral.

I can't even get first place before the first bend on Monaco with the Dodge race modified and tuned :(

I don't even want to talk about Deep Forest Raceway

B Spec sucks root big time. So does nascar.

There's a lot in GT5 I'm finding it difficult to get fired up about and I dislike having to wade through boring stuff to get to
mildly interesting stuff. The gloss has gone off GT5 quicker than I imagined it would and I can easily see myself whacking
the G27 and GT5 on the bay the week before Crimbo.

I agree, the pace at which stuff unlocks is too slow and is only really good for very fanatic people.

I get annoyed much sooner these days and doing the S-license at Le Mans and hitting the #1 car on the last corner when he brakes way too soon causing a DQ is enough for me to stop playing

i find it more to do with the quality of racing in this game - which is ****.
the gormless ai effectively make this game a timetrial exercise, they might as well not be there at all.

AI can be a little retarded at times.... Not overly bothered though. As long as they drive in the right direction Im happy!
understatement of the century , they can barely do that.

The first formula gt race i was last :p i hate that fuji track then won the other races :D and only the last race it was very close so even after making a pigs ear of 1 race i still won the championship and only have the endurance races to do ONLY LOL

I thought S-4, S-8 and S-10 far more nerd rage inducing. I did the Le Man's one easily once I got through the first few corners without the AI ramming me off. Had to do some blocking through the last few corners as well.

I've done all the licenses and I'm 'stuck' at level 23, faced with the grind, whilst not having the right cars in the used dealerships. :(

After 23, more grind.

Indeed, once you're past the first corner it's more of a parade than F1 in RL is.

Kaz has been quoted as saying that GT5 was released complete but then we've had a patch every week and the
announcement yesterday that from 'early next year' we will be able to play B Spec via a browser.

I'm not sure that's enough to keep me interested.

I didn't know that the b-spec races were pretty much the same as a-spec and sold off most of the cars needed for them! Vitz, World Compact, Lightweight Cup etc

Looks like i'll be leaving b-spec never to return again :(

Also: Is there an ocuk room or something for the online side of it?

Sigh.. I give up with the historic racing event in expert, I must have spent hundreds of thousands on different cars and tuning but nothing seem's to be able to keep up.

I bought GT5 a few days ago and must admit, I'm not as taken with it as I hoped I would be. I do like the variety, with the license tests and special challenges, but I think in so many ways it lags behind Forza 3. It's not helped by the fact I find the PS3 pad absolutely rubbish for driving games, with the Xbox 360 pad being so much better (for me). I'll give it more time but unless it picks up quickly I can see myself trading it in and going back to Forza instead.

+1

Lol I used NY interceptor to do the super car nostalgia cup on aamateur. Only 4hundred Bhp they were. Faster than me on the straight but I persevered. Did the expert Turbo race in my lotus Carlton superbarge!

Anyone had a bug like this?

Half the cars in my garage don't appear.

Checked the Disc for damage or dirt? As I think that is where it sources the images from. Otherwise changing view might help...

The disc is fine, it's only been took out the ps3 twice since I bought it. Changing view doesn't help either, still missing pictures for certain cars. The picture comes up if I click on the car, but otherwise they don't show. They're missing in arcade mode too. :(

Press Triangle on a car, there's an option to generate a new thumbnail. :) I think it does this when you change the paint or appearance of your car.
