Pretty much every aspect of the new release has been discussed already. Ad nauseum. Until we have more information, from leaks (fake or otherwise), there really isn't too much to say. Pointing out the merits (or lack thereof) for the various leaks and rumours is pretty much all there is left at this point.

Don't worry... The forum will settle back down on the 15th. Well... Maybe a couple of days afterwards :p

Raven, for what it's worth, I don't personally know you or indeed anyone on these forums, but if unprompted, you were happy to put your head on the chopping block(so to speak), you are either one of 3 things:-

1, Correct in your assumptions
2, Attention seeking
3, Incredibly thick skinned

At the moment, I am giving you the benefit of the doubt;)

Raven also understands this but has, in my opinion put him self firmly in the firing line;)

As stated, due to a lack of any evidence, I am happy to give Raven the benefit of the doubt and until proven otherwise, the 6970 will be the card to get;)
 
I do not know Raven on a personal level, so i have no reason not to believe what he is saying, he may of accepted the information he was given in good faith and has just passed it on. As he said earlier it is from an old Uni/College friend, so why would he doubt him, now in a few days his opinion of said friend may change.
 
I'm giving raven the benefit of the doubt as I know from first hand experience how difficult it is to backup some stuff when it comes from sources under NDA (you don't want to get someone in trouble for letting you in on some tidbits) or from stuff you see while under NDA yourself.
 
To be honest I think raven seems alright, He always seem pretty eager to please and if i remember correctly answered a few of my questions Ive had in the past. decent guy in my book, yet again most are on here. Im just hoping this card isnt over £350, i splurged a lot of my redundancy on my rig already this year and im happy with my 5870 but i dont think i can control myself!

Raven, as far as I know is not under a NDA

I find it unlikely that his mates employers would know of Raven therefore I suspect their isn't much danger of dropping said mate in the doo doo:)

probably because what ASUS did, AMD is holding back really hard..
They haven't give out a working driver until recently, even though there are couple sample out there couple weeks ago, but doesn't work correctly or run correctly without crashing. That is why you didn't see any information until now.

The funny thing right now is AMD is sending out wrong PDF to the reviewers, and couple 6970 that is crippled SP running.

They really trying to hide stuff this time...

PS: Magickarp is the one who told me all these and left with happy face. Don't ask for more information, this is all I can tell for now, everything should be lift soon since NDA is ending very soon...
