I'd buy it just for the lulz. I doubt it will be competitive on a proper track against the Le Mans cars but it's worth a buy just to play the rally tracks. I wish they kept the Suzuki Cultus Pikes Peak which they had in GT2, that car was awesome as well.

:D

Can I use it in the Rally special events? I'm missing gold on the dirt extreme event (Lost on the final SS :( ) if I can I'm buying it :D

They changed the name, but it is the same car. It even said in the description that it was the champion of Pike's Peak.

In GT2 they had both cars and the Cultus looked a lot different to the Escudo, I thought it was nicer, it had a better livery and had a nicer spoiler. The Cultus was marketed over here as the old Swift and the Escudo is the Vitara over here. They are definitely different cars. :)

I wonder how many cars they will actually be making premium from the standards. If it takes them as long as they say it does to actually make the premiums then I'm not holding much hope out for many of them to be done. I'd expect them to do a few Zonda's and the Veyron though at least.

You can use it on dirt and snow but I'm not sure what the horsepower restriction is on those events, the Escudo has over 900BHP so I think it may be ineligible for those races. :(

I read something that said standard cars would gradually be converted to premium in regular updates, but that might have just been speculation.

Good news that they might all get done, that would be some achievement. Some of the standard race cars would be incredible in premium detail.

To be honest they should be ready to update all the cars lol.

6 years in development.... only 20% of the cars look ultra hott....... no leaderboards.....

The Expert has no power restrictions (Hence my C4 has sprouted a HUGE turbo :D ), just a big long list of eligible rally cars

An AMG event would have been good. There's awesome looking SL's and old CL's turning up in the used the car dealership but there's no reason to buy them.

Yeah, where are the manufacturer races?
Why are there no BHP limits or points limits in races?
Why are some races requiring a specific car only one race?

I really hope that they do.

I don't even look in the UCD. I always buy the Premium cars because I want to be able to do anything to them. The Hommel Berlinette, for example, is awfully done with jagged edges around the back lights. Spoils it totally for me.

I must be seriously hampering myself by playing this way, but I can't stand the Standard cars.

There was supposed to be a big reveal/surprise regarding GT5 the week after release (I am sure it was advertised on the psblog). Anyone know what happened to that?
