26-30, Office based, £25-30k, Level 6 Education, 31-40 hours per week.

Hoping to increase my earnings through promotion in due course, but have zero intention of leaving my current excellent conditions and hours just for more money.

Before I went to university I worked in an office job I got from a temp agency, it didn't require any qualifications. Clearly I was a cut above the rubbish they usually sent through and got offered a permenant position after being there 2 days.

8 months later the office relocated 100 miles away and I decided not to move with the post. In order to tempt me into moving I was offered a promotion and a very defined career path. In the end I decided not to take the offer up, but had I done so I would certainly be earning significantly more than I currently do after 3 years of university.

If you have the ability then you certainly can earn lots of money without proving your intelligence with a piece of paper.

A six figure salary but potentially seven next year
Director (my currency and commodity trading firm)
Level 2 (I have little to no interest in academia)
I work, on average, around 2 hours per day

Took a big risk leaving a 60k job at the age of 26 to start my own business but it was a risk worth taking.

You have got to be joking?

It's possible, I play Poker a few times a year for 'fun' but with large-ish stakes, I take around 5-10k to the table and over the years I've made a lot more than I've lost!

I also have a friend who is a semi-pro player pulling in around 5k a month. Not bad going for a few nights play!

What's the point of university if you're able to achieve something like that !!! What was the 60k job (if you don't mind me asking)?
