I don't disagree with you dragon, but there are already a few spawners around the world and they are an eyesore.

Most people have their own farms too.
 
How have you guys layed out your vaults?

Sometimes when the floor at spawn hasnt loaded yet you can see down into the vaults, some nice ones there with all wooden floors and walls etc.
 
Mine is similar to yours Pete just a lot more chests. I had an egg dispenser but it didn't really work lol.
 
dragon, first you build that stupid guacamole sign which was obviously an eyesore and a pain with the stupid fence/half block surround. Now you want to build a spawner when we already have too many and there's a ban on new ones.

So no, you won't get your resources back for the guacamole sign. Perhaps that'll stop you doing something similar. And if you build a spawner it will be removed as well.

I'm thinking that'll we remove all spawners bar two "community" ones from the existing array, these can be connected to the rail network.

3, pain in the eye is a opinion and i didnt hear any opinion of the one that destroyed the building, i would like to delete some ugly stuff aswell
 
although there is a general negative vibe towards large buildings near spawn (i'm, guilty as charged), there's never actually been anything written anywhere that explains why, or even anything that explains it isnt wanted. there is a rule that says building around spawn is restricted, but it isnt clear as to wether that means around spawn but inside the walls, or around the spawn area outside the walls.

Windle, perhaps a new rule is needed to that effect? something along the lines of 'no building bigger than x width or y height within z blocks from spawn unless prior permission is granted' or something like that? it would help avoid these things in the future.

dragonhaertt, to be frank, that sign, in many opinions, wasn't welcomed near spawn. its a bit hard to say 'ugly' as that just an opinion and there are plenty of ugly buildings around, but when everybody puts as much effort in to designing, mining the materials and building spawn as people have done, the last thing they want is a 200ft dirt sign with 'guacamole' written on it in obsidian ruining the skyline.

I dont mean to **** you off but that's why people didnt want it there. i dont think anybody would mind at all if it wasnt in view of spawn.

I expect people to have some common sense though and a giant sign saying guacamole is obviously not something to build right next to spawn. There's not much point in animal spawners as there's no effective ways of killing everything to get the drops.
