nobody played it like that unless they were putting the engine under the microscope.For example, I completed it without stopping and staring at a leaf for 3 hours or going in and out of the water and watching the water drip down the visor in different directions and trying to work out if it was random or there was a pattern to it, again, for 3 hours

i saw the graphics as a tool for immersion it built up a more realistic feeling.
crysis 2 is a step back,with crysis 1 crytek showed they wanted to push gaming forward in terms of visuals and interaction down to the smallest thing, look at crysis 1 you threw a crate it smashed into pieces in crysis 2 crates are indestructible.a lot of people have been knocking the pc community for noticing things like this, if all the big company's decided to keep games 2d to save money those people would have taken it on their back with a smile on there face.
bottom line is if your not moving forward your moving backwards.
