Ok its obviously not a hopeless game that is devoid of fun but its definitely a big disappointment.
DX11 should bring some more realism to the game, falling water effects are cringe worthy currently.
Some extremely low quality textures made me think I was playing a beta release instead of a full game.
This thread pretty much sums up the textures issue. The
telescope in Goulds office being the worst part of the entire game for me, I have no idea what he was talking about because I was too busy facepalming to listen.
You are confined into reaching objectives with nothing else possible between starting a level and completing the objective. While I think of HL2 as the benchmark FPS and it has elements of this style of gaming it also has a much more engrossing storyline and character acting. In Crysis 2 it just feels like they throw objectives in front of you to make the game seem longer.
During dialogue the characters will assume you are in a single position so if you move they are talking to the walls.
Here is a bug you wouldn't expect to see in a game but seems a few people have encountered.

Here is a funny video about the last level in the game which shows how bad the AI is. I don't think there is much of a spoiler apart from showing how to finish the last level but all you have to do is follow objective markings on the map.

And finally, this is a comparison of the freedom of physics compared to Crysis 1.

Over all I will give it a generous 7/10, but if you are expecting it to be a sequel to Crysis 1 then its rating will drop considerably.
