Which game would you defend to the death?

New addition to the list is probably Portal 2, a lot of people are complaining that they killed it with the hat store (facepalm) but I genuinely think the single player and co-op mechanic is an absolute masterpiece.

Iwouldn't want to generate a mind set where I was 'defending' a game. I would say that I like many games, some a lot, though if someone else thinks, for example that Stalker is pants, then fair enough.

I'm pretty sure the thread is hypothetical, come on take off the serious hat and let your hair down.

Chess - yeah it's a not really a PC game but it's the most simple, complex, game I can think of that's accessible by almost everyone.

PC games are very much a personal choice and while wolfenstein, doom, quake, heroes quest, sam and max, civilization, simcity, syndicate, warcraft, world of warcraft, etc., have given me hours of fun and many fond memories I can't honestly say I'd "defend them to the death".

Pro pinball 'timeshock'

It is and ever will be the most realisticaly modeled computer pinball representation of a real table.

Absolutely everything on the screen is detailed from a real table, from the black/yelllow/red williams/bally overlays, to the names involved in the design printed in the drain lanes.

There will never be another like it, as a pinhead from about 5 years old, it plays as flawless as the finest real tables down the years.

It is perfect, the developers were given the time to do it 100% right... ill defend it till i die... 14 years on iv'e still not beat it:)

Serious, well maybe yes. Though I prefer articulate. 'Pendantic' perhaps if someone is not pleased with me on some occasions. :)

I like Stalker. Do you? If you don't you are wrong! :D ;) (Which of course you wouldn't be).

Portal 2 (so far, not completed it yet)
Supreme Commander 2

Wouldn't die for them, so to speak but would defend these games :)

Baldur's Gate 2. I'm a massive, and slightly unbalanced fan boy for this. :D

I'd also defend a great many classics that were made during the 1990's, which I feel was the best decade for gaming so far.... Many of these oldies I'd love to see 'tarted up' and remade.

Championship Manager 2001/02.

An absolutely brillant game!

While not on my 'cut you, if you hate' list, this is the last version I actually enjoyed playing.

MGS3 is probably my all time favourite game. I can't understand how anyone could dislike the story, characters, or gameplay, and the ending is just incredible. :D

Portal 2, its short but defaintly one of the best games i'v played in a long time.
Even playing it all through a second time already!
