since some of the books run at the same time with different areas/characters they might re-edit the books to run them chronologically on TV

No, it's mostly based very loosely on the second War of the Roses. Think of Tyrion as Richard the Third to get the general idea. But don't read too much into that as to where the plot goes - as I said, VERY loosely. Martin has said he took the feel from that period, but not the history.

I thought the Tudors won the War of the Roses :p I agree that I should have said the setting was based on those dynasties and not the story, which is quite different.

You'll be waiting a very long time I think if he's doing one series per book, and we're 5 books done by now but not at the end of series 1 :P

Also if you got addicted to the books as much as me, then once you've read the first book (which would take you to the end of season 1) you wouldn't be able to stop yourself reading the next books!

It's already been picked up for the 2nd Series/Book.

This show isn't going anywhere currently. I'm watching the 1st Season then cracking on with the books, this is way too good.

Yeah but the difference between 2 series and 7-8 series is a big one, especially as the source material is not there yet.

She was crying when she was being screwed which was pretty uncomfortable to watch :P

TBH- given what is going to happen, she could just develop when she needs to (trying to discuss this without spoilers) rather that her learning how to shag. Her relationship with the dragon eggs would seem far more important.

What about developing some of the stark boys? Have we even seen ricon yet? More about Tyrion being a richard 3 type character. Lots to develop

Yes, been in it quite a lot although I don't think they've actually named him, he's probably in the credits as the guy who hangs around with Robb Stark. For example he was in the Godswood with Robb and Cat when they were discussing the possibility that someone pushed Bran.

Yep rewatched that bit, must be him. Don't think they've introduced him by name yet either.
