Continued links with Sanchez today it seems.
Not watched a lot of Udinese games but seems lightening quick and skilful. Is he a Messi? eg can run through people and is very strong or a SWP who could be moved out the way by a 6yr old?

I'd be much more interested in getting McCarthy and N'Zogbia if Wigan went down than any player from the other bottom 4 sides.

Paker's not that good and he'll be 31 in a few months.

Giggs doesn't play on the wing any more, and the other two are right-footed, so yeah, I'd say he's perfect for Man Utd.

Not really because Sanchez is right footed as well, so then we'd be stuck with 3 of them all preferring to play on the right

We do need 2 wingers though. I'd be happy with both of them.

On the subject of wingers we've been linked with; it looks like there's nothing in the Downing to Liverpool stories the other day and he'll be signing a new deal with Villa. Not surprised or disappointed.

Being right footed doesn't mean he prefers playing on the right.

Ribery for example I think prefers playing on the left.

It does where Sanchez is concerned.... well to be exact this season he's barely played on either wing been mostly played in Rooney's position (in the games I've seen anyway)

Thank god.

Oh right. I know next to nothing about him, I just off the fact that Wiki said he generally plays left wing. :o

Why would we want Young?
Because you love paying over the odds for average Villa players? Or did you only do that to wind Martin O'Neill up?

The Benzema rumours are a bit crazy and probably completely made up, I can't say I've watched him play much but when he played for Lyon he must have been good to attract the attention of the top clubs. I think that he's had hardly any chances at Madrid when you look at the attackers they have. I'd rather see Wenger change our tactics than spend any obscene amounts of money, two up front is a necessity in my opinion, we struggle with one up top, the defense always seems to outnumber our attackers and that's when we start just tapping it around the edge of the box aimlessly.

I shouldn't judge players if they're a bit simple looking but it really didn't surprise me that he's been terrible for Madrid. I was never that impressed with him at Lyon either. He'd not be a poor buy.

We should get rid of one of Bendtner or Chamakh. Neither will be any good if they can't get a run in the side and we seemingly only play two up front on the occasion that we need a goal at the end of a game. Further more only really Bendtner has something on his side that says he could become world class (age),...

According to Talk Sport Lazio want Chamakh for £9m. Good deal that. Make about £5m from him including his wage costs.

...Great deal, he's been with us for one year and his stats P42 G11 A4 are worse than Bendtner P27 G9 A8 who for the most part has played out of position.

lol @ city offering Xavi a bumper pay day, like he will go.

Damn city are deluded.

City are going to be a nightmare this transfer season. Money plus cl next season is going to tempt many to go too city.

+1. That qualification changes a heck of a lot. Why wouldn't Xavi move if he was offered a stupid amount of money? There's nothing more he can win in Spain.

Bad news for us, it'd mean Cesc would be his replacement.
