Looks like the legal argument around the Phil Jones transfer is not that the release clause exists, but how United found out about it. One of the mirror journalists is reporting that united may end up paying 20.5m to prevent being reported for tapping up.

Heard on the radio Nasri is staying.

Who said it? Directly from Nasri or Wenger or just rumour?

Would be nice if he stayed. DM will be unhappy because he thinks it will destroy Arsenal if he does.

Would be a positive start to he summer rather than this story dragging out the whole of the summer and then we find out two days before the season kicks off like with most of our leavers.

Please enlighten me, how will making Nasri one of if not the best played member of the team help Arsenal improve? Massive wage, massive ego, crap attitude, absolutely not good enough. We can make 10mil on him, or spend 5mil a year on a player who simply isn't good enough in any position to be at the club. Hmm, 10mil in our pocket, or 25mil down the tube over the next 5 seasons.

Did you see what happened when City, and Chelsea started doling out 80-100k a week on their worst players, their best players and any new signings wanted 130-150k a week, now the crap players want 150k a week and the best players want 200k, have you seen just how completely financially unviable those two clubs are. Utd crap ALL over us money wise, income, winnings, sponsorship, everywhere.

Did you see how Arsenal played with Nasri in his "favoured role", rubbish would be the polite term for it. Replace Cesc with Nasri and our comftable 2nd turned into a pathetic 4th and an inability to win.

Having one crap player won't kill us, though Wenger refusing to choose the team on form might, its what happens when we for some mental reason won't sell Theo, and he see's that Nasri has gone from 50 to 100k a week, and he thinks his 60k should become 120k + another 20k because he plays for England, and on and on and on, and Arsenal can't afford to do that, at all.

If he was actually brilliant, maybe, but he's not brilliant, he's not far above average, Arsenal can't afford to start playing our average players 100k a week, its that simple.

That's the beauty about football and personal opinion. Whenever I saw him play in his favoured position he did well and so did Arsenal.

Unless you are his agent then you don't know anything about how much he is asking for or what has been offered. You certainly like to mix up fact and fiction in your little spouts. You quote stats left right and centre on here and then quote paper talk or rumour about players like you were in the room chatting with the player.

Or do you only quote facts when it suits you best?

Personally I think Nasri will go from strength to strength over the next few years. Just because you think we should replace every single player with Eboue doesn't mean that is the right decision. A player that is happy to sit on the bench and take his money. And when he does come on he just falls on the floor and embarrasses himself and the Arsenal fans. That is the type we want. I think I would ask for more money if I were in Nasri's shoes :p

He must have got around 15 goals for the season in total. Sounds above average to me? What league are you watching when the below average players score 15 goals? I really want to start watching that league

Take it with a pinch of salt and all that. Look down upon it with derision etc but The Mirror football have a fairly decent article put together about what some Arsenal fans want. Not surprisingly they also go against pretty much Drunkenmaster ever has said.

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opi...-plus-who-to-sell-and-sack-article740739.html

The clear out list that every fan other than DM seems to have is pretty much identical to the one I have posted again and again. The four guys are suggesting similar signings too.

Some of those transfer targets are highly unrealistic tbh and some of them just aren't that good

Having said that Wenger's been at Arsenal that long now maybe it's more of a case that I just cant see well known players being bought by Arsenal :p

Pires and Wiltord had crackers in Euro2000. Bergkamp had already had two BalonDor nominations. Arshavin Euro2008? Sol Campbell maybe. I am really struggling for any more.

Oh Gallas was at Chelsea first. Giovanni van Bronckhorst was fairly famous before us as well.

Vermaelen was pretty well known before he came to us too.

I'd like to see Samba or Cahill for the back and Falco or Hulk in attack.

Hazard seems to be linked to us a lot and people keep singing his praises so I wouldn't mind him too. TBH I don't really trust wenger to bring in what we need this summer. :(

I would like both Samba and Cahill. At least we would actually be covered at the back for the whole season.

Haven't seen much of Falco but quotes of £20m + is enough to end that speculation. Hazard looks good but I think we will only go for more Midfielders when Fab has gone.

I would like to see some bigger guys in the team. I thought Diaby might solve that problem when he first arrived but he only has a good game once every three months.

More rumours on Twitter this evening suggesting that we will sign Pato Rodriguez, could be this summers Hernandez

If Pato does sign and becomes to be a really good signing. Bye bye Berba in Jan. :( Berba is getting on, he will be 31 in Jan. How many utd strikers stayed on to their 30's? I think Teddy was the last striker we had that stayed on into his 30's in the past 10 years.
