Jones has finally signed, done deal, 5 year contract, screw you Dalglish
Why buy Jones when you could (probably) get Rodwell for not much more. Rodwell is better in midfield than Jones and I wouldn't rate Jones much better in defence when samba and nelson stay in front of him.
Decent prospect but nothing special.
Jones for utd i can see as being a great signing, its debatable if Rodwell is the better player but Rodwell is nearly injured as much as RSC and that is not what you want. That is the main reason why no one has ever bought him. Always linked with utd, Chelsea and Arsenal etc but his injuries have slowed him down a lot!

He looked very solid in the U21 game the other night, they now have two future Utd starters already, both under 21 - not a bad thing to have, especially when they're both good enough already to be called upon.
I haven't seen much of Jones but almost everyone would disagree with your opinion on him tbh
Not sure why you've brought Rodwell up either as he's a midfielder, there seems to be this myth that he can play both midfield and centre half yet AFAIK he's never played the latter for Everton's first team, likewise the stories of Jones being able to play midfield, I'm willing to bet he's been bought with being a long term centre half in mind not as a viable long term midfielder
No reason why at the end of the transfer window we wont have both Jones and Rodwell tbh

They already had a £300m bid rejected for Messi... apparently.
I think he would rather retire than join though to be honest

Saw on the BBC gossip that Arsenal are prepard to listen to offers in excess of £25m for Nasri - er bit different from the 8million to Utd being rumoured
Whereas ive read that Wenger and Kroenke are willing to open the chequebook and give him the salary he wants....i dont mind him getting his raise but then id like to see him improve his game and become better...the danger is that he may not so then we have a dilemma ie paying him wages that are well over what hes entitled to and he plays rubbish.
The thing that annoys me about Nasri is that if hes willing to listen to Utd and Chelsea then it just shows him up to be the mercenery that he is becoming....similar to the merceneries before him ie Tevez and Cashley Cole

Ie without Messi .....and obviously another player instead, I just wonder how good they would really be
