The last I heard was he said he'd do anything to play for Arsenal, of course this could be the usual rubbish but it still sounds promising.

Edit: it was goal.com that I read it on, I have no idea how reliable they are though.

Let's just hope that if we do sign him he doesn't completely flop. I hope that Wenger deploys him as a right winger instead of a striker. I'd much rather see Walcott in the middle and if this new guy has scored all his Ligue 1 goals from right wing then he's certainly more effective than Walcott there.

As for goal.com that makes two of us. Never really visited their site or anything. :p

Yeah Walcott is fairly useless as a winger, playing him on the shoulder of the last man with his pace would be seriously effective, although I think he needs to improve his finishing for that role. Did Wenger play him as a winger because of lack of options or because he genuinely rated him there?

Also, I am going to have to get on YouTube for some of these players e.g. Gervinho, Sanchez etc, as I've not seen them play.

Modric leaving this summer, nailed on.
Harry to 'try and fight through' another year with Spurs, only to finish 10th and leave him free to take the England job.

Heard it here first.

Anything happened with Arsenal and Gervinho? It's hard to get too excited having never seen him kick a football. I did read that Arsenal are his preferred club after being linked with Spurs and Man City as well. We're apparently interested in Hazard as well but isn't everyone? What makes that probable bull is that I believe Gervinho is also a right winger so why would we even buy two of them in the same window...

"The Ivory Coast forward has agreed personal terms this week and is ready to sign permanently for Arsenal on a four-year contract."

Again, no idea how reliable it is or how good this guy is but at £10mil it wouldn't be a total loss if he flopped. I really hope he does well.

Also heard that wenger sent out some scouts to watch hazard. Hazard + Gervinho on the wings, move Nasri to the middle with Cesc and push Theo up front with RvP!

Indeed, we wouldn't be buying Sanchez in place of Sneijder, two different positions.

I disagree, whilst Sneijder is probably seen more of a central midfielder I reckon both ideally want to play in the no 10 role which Rooney plays

I may be wrong but I cant see Sneijder being a success in a midfield 2, I dont think he's got the defensive discipline to play there

With all the Phil Jones stuff has ashley young been confirmed yet (I know he got married at the weekend so he's probably on his honeymoon atm)?

United probably don't want him if Sanchez/Sneijder are on the table. Especially considering that he would be brought in as an AM (according to the promises he was made).

It would be incredibly harsh to dump Young should we sign Sanchez and this is coming from someone who wasn't blown away at the prospect of signing him to begin with!!

I really hope we sign this young Lucas Rodriguez from Brazil - never seen him play, but I can't wait to hear "Lucas, passes to Lucas Rodriguez, passes to Rodriguez" on 5live.

Edit: Add Jeffren Suarez to that and things really do start to get fun.

I'm not sure why Wenger plays Theo on the wing to be honest. Even Theo himself has come out and said a number of times that he thinks his best position is as a striker, the only explanation I can think of is that Wenger wants him to learn more than one position.

Yup like I was saying earlier I've never seen him play, all I know is that Lille did the double in France so the players can't be *that* bad, I hope. If this Gervinho plays on the right wing then maybe Walcott can be shifted next to RVP and we can play 2 up front.
