Finished it... Steam reports 10hrs spent in the game...

Well, I really enjoyed it. Old school, and a bit out of dated, but I enjoyed it enough to play it all the way through

Here's hoping for another one, this time managed properly on an upto date engine!

Its been said several times now, the gaming media are just tearing it apart for the sake of it. Now to await the circle jerk that will occur for MW3, multiple game of the year awards for a reskinned mw2 snorefest.

Gearbox have already mentioned intent to continue the franchise, hence why they bought the rights completely. I doubt they'll take as long as 3DRealms.

At 1.5 Million sales so far they will have easily covered the spend on the rights to the game, licence to the brand etc...

Hopefully we will see a proper sequel

I want to get it as DN3D was one of my favourite games ever and the wait for DNF has been torture. But it supposed to be cack. True? Or is it just a case of not living up to the hype, as is actually alright?

Its alright. Its fun. Nothing special but it is Duke. Its being slated for not being groundbreaking in every department and for taking so long to come out and being just decent (with the amount of problems its had then it should be commended more than anything).
