I read the Portal 2 store page and I think I got the answers..

Basically wondering if it had local co-op which it seems it doesn't and thinking about it I can see how that wouldn't really work..

I guess myself and the woman have to both own it on steam to co-op...

I did it though! Clicked Pay now! I already have l4d2 and Team Fortress 2 (well I don't but its F2P so claims I do)... But the pack seems good value even without those.

It's a really big, open-ended world where you can fight and trade your way through. There is a campaign story, but that only makes up a small part of the game.

It's got an incredibly steep learning curve, but is insanely addictive once you get the hang of it.

Thanks, it does look like one of those games in which they'll be lots and lots to read up about before I get going but I enjoy that. Gonna take my chances with it as I love games which can throw various things towards challenging me :)

Only problem I can see is not having enough time to really get into the game with other games to play and work. Shouldn't stop me enjoying the game however.

Yeah - that's why I haven't played any X games in the last couple of years :( It has a tendency to suck you in completely... 12 hours can pass with you barely even noticing!

Normally the last day is just a "best of" sales. So at 6 what deals we most likely will see will be the best sellers of the last few days deals.

Yea this.

Going by what we've seen in the sale so far I wouldn't be suprised if the 'best of' sales are a little more expensive than they were on the daily sales :)

If Borderlands comes back up I wholeheartedly recommend it, I can't stop playing the damn thing so it's proving great value for money!

and a Portal 2 question.. Co-op seems great, but is it only online Co-op because I live with my lady and we love co-op games and enjoyed trying the Portal demo together although not co-op.

Cheers

You can play split screen (or even dual monitor) on Portal 2 in the same way as the Left4Dead games, but one person will need to use an Xbox pad or similar. Bit of a faff though.

Should really be a simple default option from the main menu, but c'est la vie.
