Stoke sign Woodgate from Spurs on a 1 year deal.

tbf Inter are given the impression they are very willing to sell. Sneijder seems like he's appeasing the fans more than anything.

He is tested and has experience though. It might not be as glamorous as the Champions League but the Europa League has some good teams and good players, it's not as if he was playing against 11 blokes from the local pub. 
So what other keepers would you have gone for that have experience at that level. I would say that there are maybe 6-8 world class keepers knocking around at the moment. Pretty much none of which are likely to be sold.
De Gea looks like a really good keeper and most players need to be played in the champions league to get champions league experience.
There are loads of keepers who have played in the champions league and you would not consider them anything like world class so why use it as a benchmark.

Im not saying he doesnt look.okay but when you have only really 2 seasons data to go.off... how many people tuned in for the u21 final compared to the wc proper? The pressure and quality is no where near the same.
looking good making 10 saves a match is different to only making 2 golden saves in 90 minutes. concentration, pressure stability all untested at the highest level.

De Gea has shown he can do both, from pulling off saves left right and centre at Atletico to having naff all do apart from 1 or 2 saves with Spain
